Lmao people really upset about boosting? Get a life and let people play the game. No ones asking you to boost your toon and no one is making you put your herbs on the AH for a ridiculous price lol get over yourselves.
people got that kneejerk reaction when they learn things are not as they thought lol - they want what you have, and it’s not “fair” that they dont - they like to say things are illegitimate
i saw and see alot of this mentality on the forums and in the game.
Its not true, in terms of capability, but very true in willingness. Guilty. But Im not the bitter jelly kid. I just wish WoW had a different mindset. Its over, I get it.
Thats fair. I think my life was centered around tanking for guildies in tbc which really felt like boosting. But, it looked different than boost spam in 2020. Im sure you agree there is a huge diff between being boosted and paying rmt to get boosted.
Yeah, I dont know. I try to understand and its a free country, but the importance to me is that there are players not doing your awesome things, and are/were actually happy…until the game changes because of bots and rmt.
So I should have budgeted for rmt to plan on being like you and Im blaming blizzard for lacking such foresight?
No. I have zero inclination to be, or play like you, and played Classic despite the inevitability if Blizzard’s underlying inability to care enough to ban bots and rmt…which leads to boosting and “the one true way to play” we have in 2020.

Those statements are not contradictory.
RMT and botting has exacerbated boosting to a larger extent than what would be otherwise. Get rid of the RMT and bots and boosting will go down (but it won’t die and I’m OK with that).

Not the gotcha you think it is. RMT all you like, boost away.
However, there would be less players who dont play like me, if they banned RMT (goodbye bots and therefore substantial rmt source behind boosting)
You are free to take advantage of these “technicalities” all you want. I think Blizzard has a worse community for it, however.

Here was my plan before classic even launched.
Power a mage to 60 as fast as possible.
Immediately level up 4 warlocks to level 20 for summons.
Boost a hunter to 60 so I can solo clear my own DMT for buffs.
Boost a rogue to 60 so I can pick lockboxes.
Boost a paladin to 60 for TBC.
Those were my goals on launch and that set me up in phase 1 for the rest of Classic to play how I want.
Some people just like to login and randomly jump around and do nothing with their time.
My time is valuable, I don’t like to waste it. I play efficiently and effectively.
That play style is not for everyone. I take exception though when people say that I’m playing wrong.
I take exception when people clamour for nerfs to my playstyle because they lack focus, discipline or organization.
I take exception when people equate “boosting” with bots and RMT when it has always been a part of WoW it’s just insanely exacerbated in Classic due to RMT.
Blizzard doesn’t and hasn’t ever needed to do anything at all about boosting, they needed to address the insane amount of bots flooding the market with RMTs.
If there were 0 bots and 0 capability of RMT people would still boost.

i’m not trying to gotcha. You’re trying to dictate how people should play, and if it doesn’t fit your idea of the game, it’s bad or wrong.
you assume alot - i’ve never had more than 1500g and i have 0 alts.
i play wow how i like it and enjoy - i dont berate and judge and give absolutes because someone plays the game differently
you need to set your expectations - modern gamers go for “meta” - in all aspects - you’d prolly be less triggered by the folks that have 20k gold and multiple lvl 60 alts.

I get it. I had a lot of crafts, two accounts, each side of Faerlina. Cut deals with the mafia through p2 to play AH.
Truth: I knew we were in over our head before we started but had fun doing things clean early on. I didnt want to compete or join with those who set up the current shop. Bad planning if I expected it to last. Im not going into anymore detail than that.
I do respect your foresight, awesome plan ( very serious on that), but RMT leads to a trashy mmo, imho.
Things can be done, slower, as to keep all kinds of players enjoying more of the game (ie having more people to level with, not having to compete with flying bots, not farming leather for x hours in exchange for a few plaguebloom, not having chat replaced with boost spam, not having to average out TSM prices on transmog because GldzNow used a Practice Sword to give you your 10k gold, etc)
But Im just a clueless casual with jelly in my heart for winners, and a trollish imagination

Not triggered lol. I can state my opinion on the RMT Boost meta and my beef is with Blizzard for enabling that style of play. I never once told someone how to play. I did, and will continue, to laugh (more like…eyeroll) at it, however. Just like you will poke at me for not being smart or good enough to see how to play like you (or in your case, the people you are defending)
You know what: I am guilting people or trying to grassrots rmt from happening.

Why? Because I look down on people who boost and contribute to pay-to-win mobile gaming garbage?
I just put those trashy type of players on ignore (boosters/boosted) and will be glad to see them move elsewhere to soil TBC in a few months.

you assume rmt is causing all the woes to your opinion - you keep harping that folks that like boosting, or taking an easier route to obtain a goal - is bot/rmt related.
i never once called you anything negative - i told you to set your expectations. i tried to make it clear that you are ambiguously judging folks on how they play.
na, blizz should ban bots / rmt - imagine thinking though, that people with a decent amount of gold HAD to have rmt’d it…

In a GDKP the group literally has to clear the raid. So again, “the spirit of the game” is a farce that the forums likes to spew when they dont like that people arent playing the game THEIR way
