They get one week bans and gold removed, if that.
It is time to perma ban all buyers.

I hate to be that guy, but where is the prestige in earning raid items in a brainless 20 year old game? Not even the new stuff they add is hard and its a 30 minute raid clear and you’re done for the next 3 days.
There is no huge benefit to RMT in WoW. So the person doing it is not going to just go to another game they’ll just spend their RMT gold on something else in WoW if there’s no GDKP’s.
The mentality is the same. Gold for a mount swipe card, gold for the AH swipe card, gold for a loot funnel run swipe card.
Wheres the prestige in parsing the level 25 dungeon
No idea but people are doin it.
There is a huge benefit you can save literally hundreds of hours not farming mats and gold and not having to roll against people in a raid or dungeon.
They don’t want to because the biggest buyers are streamers. Blizzard is rotten to the core and doesn’t care about the integrity of their game.
There is no prestige. It’s merely gauging someones ability to perform in a level 25 dungeon. It may be silly, but if someone else can parse decently, why cant other people?
There is a reason.
If you think it takes hundreds of hours to farm enough gold to pay for the consumes for BFD that is a you problem.
I did a few hours of questing over the weekend and I made enough to pay for my mount and all the mats I’ll need for the next month of BFD. Plus I think I’m actually netting gold from drops anyways in BFD.
Just join a gdkp and make gold. The pot is split at the end. You run a few and then you can afford loot. Easy.
Yeah cuz that person didnt go in with a stacked group to bloat their dps and get a good parse.
None of my runs are with a stacked group and my parses are fine.
I can’t imagine what they would be if i DID ever have a stacked group.
I get so many misses and dodges and ported in at Kelris and zapped to insta death on Jett that I just dont care anymore.
For sure, and also the BoE’s on the AH wouldn’t be nearly as much if people weren’t carrying sacks of gold for…GDKP.
They will say anything to protect their grift.
…who is spending hundreds of hours on this? Seriously. Be specific.
This Rogue has only gained money from doing BFD once every three days (non-GDKP), and I only bother to stock up on FAPs because it trivializes Kelris. I’m not parsing crazy high, I don’t care about parsing crazy high, and we still have clean, no-wipe runs that take barely any time.
Y’all are so overdramatic it is absurd.
I’ve had years of playing classic of running both loot council or random roll guild runs along with running gdkp. My main was in near full bis by the end of every phase. My gdkp character was comparably geared, probably slightly worse since I don’t tend to overpay for items.
I made gold on gdkp and I have near bis main. While my experience is anecdotal, if you run with a competent guild, your main will have near full bis by the end of any raid phase. Blizzard could change things to make the number of lockouts per phase small, but that has not happened yet.
The whole crux of my argument is that others spending gold to get gear has very little impact on the play experience of those who choose not to participate in those types of runs. I think the outcry over gdkp is overblown.
RMT gold.
No thanks.
what if someone who does not like you buys gold and puts your character name and you get banned?
You handle gold from unknown solicitors the way you handle them IRL - When you receive a phishing email at work that promises you wealth, do you open the attachments and accept everything at face value?
No.
You report that person.
You receive gold in the mail, report the person and resend.
If you accept it and use it? Enjoy your ban
what if you don’t accept it and you report it and still get banned? bc that’s the case.
