That sounds weird, because it’s the exact opposite of Warlords’ problem of being the first expansion without a Troll Patch.

The troll content has actually been pretty decent. It’s the faction war, the boring classes, the broken professions, the bad content (subjective, I mostly enjoy the new things), and the tone deaf company running it all.

Also trolls are awesome.

we rarely go a expansion without trolls to kill tbh.

Trolls are the best. Except they don’t wear shoes. That part sucks.

This. The Alliance/Horde conflict has always been simmering (or boiling over) in the background of every expansion, but when the real point of pretty much any given RPG is to “defeat the world-ending evil on the horizon,” it really can’t be the focus.

Plus, in a red-versus-blue setup like WoW’s Horde-versus-Alliance setting, one side can never actually defeat the other, because then the story ends and with it, the game. So there’s nothing actually at stake with a “faction war” when we know our faction cannot either lose or effectively win, and we’re all just biding our time with a hackneyed “here’s a new weapon/substance that will change everything!” plot which is just a distraction in the end anyway.

Initially I would have agreed with you regarding disliking trolls. But the Zandalari have grown on me, which has also made me start liking other trolls. Particularly the Forest Trolls and Sandfury.

I actually really love the troll themes, to me it’s one of the best things about this expansion :frowning: Learning about the Loa is my favorite theme, and I wish for more troll content to be honest. In fact, I’d say it is my favorite story aspect of this expansion. Forget the faction war (I dislike it.) I love troll stuff.

Troll content is always great. Vanilla Troll dungeons and raid was amazing. ZA in bc was amazing. Troll dungeons in wrath were great and had cool stories. WTB more trolls !
