I’ll tell you why I believe it. Because there is NO reason for Blizzard to say this if it wasn’t true. There’s every reason for them not to say it and ignore what’s going on.
So my position is that the ‘devs’ have made a design decision from their limited ability to affect the botting and gold selling situation. I don’t know if Aggrend would hire more GMs to police the game, ban bots and gold buyers if he could. But you do you really think he has that power? Of course not. What he does have is the power to ban GDKPs. So I’ll assume they’re doing what they can.
Sadly the people who actually could address the bigger issues don’t give a

it was worse in 2019 with gdkp’s around so idk what you mean by “the reasons go on” because they are completely valid, but not the only reasons
There were plenty of issues with a 400 ms batch window. Especially since they were so ignorant they blanket applied it to literally the entire game including speaking to npcs and vendoring.
Full removing it is just as bad. 100-150 would’ve left in the skill gap in pvp and solved 99% of the pve complaints. It’s not like removing it fixed the movement ticks either.
You just want the ban to work, anyone who doesn’t care either way can tell that it did absolutely nothing to curve RMT.
It had a wonderful impact, actually. No GDKPs has been amazing.
Just because players are still buying gold for other things doesn’t mean it was a bad idea to ban a huge source of gold buying and selling.
And for the 15th time, the RMT and money laundering aspect of the ban was only part of the reason.
Don’t worry all the people that were buying gold that you play with are still doing it

Perhaps but it happened. I do agree though gold buying is still rampant without it. The arguement though that because it still exists so should gdkp is like saying because people still buy drugs because they are illegal that they should just be legal. I can see both sides and have participated as a carry before a couple times. The payout i received and what was bought and for how much was reasonable. It’s an interesting debate though.
