I’m surprised there wasn’t more chatter about this. Just one of the little ‘surprises’ left for the incoming administration. But most of the tariff can be avoided by sending the parts from China offshore then assembling and shipping the finished product from another country like Taiwan.

Not the real reason. That’s a yet another thing that is going to jack the prices. Between bit coin miners and covid causing a surge in work at home setups they haven’t been able to keep up with the demand.
