Is the lack of players being prepared to fight. I’m not some super duper pvp player, but I can carry my weight. Its more often than none I see groups of players join that either 1 are bots, or 2 simply are not prepared. Either being gear or spec/skills, its really kinda disheartening when you see dps barely doing 1/8th of what the more usual players are doing, same for heals.
Now were getting a one button rotation thingy which is actually fantastic for players that have disabilities… amazing imo. However I believe the player base in general is completely and woefully unprepared for pvp. I feel like the game doesnt help new or fresh players understand what they are doing wrong. I know we gota have room for error and to theory craft and mess with things, but this is the worst its been in a long time.
Lastly I have helped a lot of players understand how to heal with certain specs or dps, took the time to get them to understand a basic rotation and what to expect. I think in general the player community is very minimal in this regard. Helping others. I do wish blizz would kinda make a in game tutorial that is more towards pvp as it is very different from pve content to give players and idea of what they need to do to be effective.
There have always been a bunch of players who think they’re gonna win by out-strategizing everyone on the enemy team. Which only works against extremely terrible opponents.
Winning a teamfight where the enemy outnumbers your side is the way to 99% of wins. But that’s scary so they try to chicken out and find other ways to win that don’t work.
Yes and no. There are ways to win that are strategic vs mongoloid head on battles. However a smart team will counter and it’s to be expected. It’s just players that don’t carry their weight that causes so many losses. A few players can change the course of a fight. But when so many are weak and unprepared it ruins matchups.
I mean, it’s not usually that simple though, it depends on the map, and whether we’re talking about random battlegrounds, epic battlegrounds, or blitz.
If it’s blitz, winning a big fight at Market on Deepwind Gorge where the enemy team outnumbers you, doesn’t guarantee that the rest of your team will win their fights vs the other team on the other 4 nodes.
So I don’t think it’s entirely fair to say that winning a team fight where they outnumber you is the way to 99% of wins. Is it a really good thing? Yes. Obviously if you can win a team fight down players that makes it far more likely you’ll be able to win the match but ultimately it only helps if you actually get objectives from it. Not all teams can work together well enough to capitalize on their team fighting potential.
Absolutely, but it feels like so many players are clueless, lost, cannot function. There are similar posts to mine seeing the same thing. I don’t remember it being this bad in past expansions…. Or I’m old and the players that knew how to play are all gone and this is just how the new players are… lost.
Sure, bit of an exaggeration, but it still boils down to: Everyone needs to be able to handle themselves in a fight.
Even the loneliest flag tenders will get tested once in a while, and if they’re discovered to be weak links then no amount of strategizing ways to avoid fights will save them.
Exactly. I believe you should have a chance even if you’re new or not fully geared. Still it’s impossible to really balance everything but blizz should implement a separate area or tutorial for PvP that helps players understand what they are doing wrong.
Being unprepared to fight in unrated battlegrounds is not an issue. Randoms and epics are literally the first place you go to get honor gear and start learning your spec, then you move on to rated for the higher quality games.
Of course, it’s easy to say that it’s the new players faults when you’re curb stomping them with a twenty man premade.
the answer is WARMODE I have been playing since 2008. I can remember how long it took me to level because ally would camp me go to the graveyard camp me. South Park video was real real back in the day. If you did not learn to PVP you weren’t going to level.
Took me 2 expacs to figure out the basics. I would BG all day just to get better so I wouldn’t get camped . Wrath came out and it was on. I miss the old days just saying
