On my level 80, I used to be able to enjoy random epic battlegrounds, but now the queues are just not popping as Alliance. I see the average queue time, and mine doubles that and just keeps going. I even tried queueing as Horde and it is still having the same problem. Why is this happening to me?

I did submit a bug for it, but I did not do it through the Forum and instead did it through in-game on my level 80 paladin. I am solo queueing and would love to know if anyone else is having this issue. I understand it taking a little while, but it genuinely seems broken as the queues go on for longer than 40 minutes.

I wonder about what could be causing this then. It does not matter what spec I queue as, because I am currently queued on my level 80 paladin as all specs and the average wait time is still 26 minutes. And still my time is going well above the average wait time, which is currently 40 minutes. Something definitely seems wrong.
