So you’re telling because my character share an ancestor that might be 1000 years old . He as to be in same faction than those other people who share the same ancestor.
and because he has the same ancestor from 1000 years ago and he has similar physical attribute.
I don’t think race should have anything to be with faction since faction are glorified politic value and Politic value/opinion as nothing to do with race/gene/ancestors.
Of course you choose your race unlike in real life but what does race have to do with politic value am asking you ?
It’s about race and faction in general. Tauren been working with Night since the start and why is there no tauren in the alliance or night elf in the horde if those two race been working together for so long.
tauren are one of the most peaceful race in the game. I played the warcraft 3 campaign and i know trall help them a lot but after all those years and the drama it’s just not logical that some tauren would have not switch side.
Realistically, quite a few blood elves probably would have defected at various points since the BC era, and high elves obviously exist. Unfortunately game mechanics must be game mechanics, so that’ll never be reflected in game.
At the risk of actually turning this into an obvious Helf thread…the counterpoint is faction identity. Now that’s fine for the people who think factions should be done away with…but for others, not so much.
Me, I could see a Traitor mechanic…sure; run a quest to become a turncoat and the final stage of that swaps your faction. You start at some seriously big negative number Neutral with your new factions, because no one trusts you not to do it again. You’re perma-flagged and KoS to anyone on the other faction because, well, you’re a traitor.
i dont understand why race as something to do with faction. I just dont understand the link. When your race Identify only your physical attribute it as little to do with your behavior. Well i guess you can have prejudice since most orc are in some kind of way but i cannot compare Trall and Garrosh. 2 orc but there personality are completely different because they live completely different live.
That pretty much what define a person the life that he live.
The fact that every Blood Elf had green eyes is just wrong. All the remaining blood elves excluding a few that decided to not join the Horde did not indulge in Fel. Their eyes should have remained blue.
If you want to go even deeper, High Elves never had blue eyes to begin with pre-WoW.
Also, changing what you call yourself doesn’t change what you are. Blood Elves are High Elves. Shouldn’t have to be said, but here we are.
You’re a blood elf, one of the few who didn’t die from the undead invasion, and one of the few who didn’t go with Kael’Thas, those are different factions but the same race. The Blood Elves that are playable belong to that group that joined the horde fearing annihilation.
