My quest log is full of important quests. Ive even already done some weekly quests to make space.
Agreed.
Callings, daily quests from multiple zones, and weekly quests take up too much space, considering that they could be emissaries and world quests that don’t take up any quest space at all!
The situation is even worse if you have toons working on quests from older expacs.
Never understood how anyone fills the log. I do callings, all ZM dailies, and even the 10 holiday dailies and I get no where close to filled.
Why let them sit?
I have to pick and choose which quests to abandon all the time, because I don’t have room to pick up the 4 dailies for a Max covenant assault, for example.
Keep in mind that 9.1 and 9.2 weekly zone quests, rotating event quests, multiple PvP quests (up to 4 including AOO and A New Deal), campaign quests, breadcrumb quests, side quests, the Runecarver quest, covenant callings, weekly anima and souls quests, covenant minigame game weekly quests (one for each Necrolord abomination for example), Ven’ari quests, daily quests from multiple zones, and any other objective that stays in your quest list counts against you, and this is just for Shadowlands content.
It’s better to pick them up (in covenant sanctums, Oribos, etc.) while you can to save yourself the travel time, in case you make progress on the objectives while you are out and about.
Some weekly quests also do not reset, so you can work on them over the course of multiple weeks if you are busy or only want to kill World Bosses for weekly zone credit.
I have made a few threads over the years and it never really gains any traction sadly. The quest log is indeed too small for people who are working on multiple projects while also doing current content. When I was working on Loremaster, I had a few different breadcrumb quests at a time plus the major hub I was working on. In game, quest finding is so horrid that I didn’t want to delete any breadcrumb quests because I honestly may not find it again.
But dailies and weeklies take up SO MUCH room. I’d like to see them get their own separate quest log with a 25 limit. The dailies could then expire at reset everyday and delete themselves from the quest log which would keep their impact on the server storage (presumably) negligible.
It was bad enough when I was doing Loremaster plus Argent Tournament dailies. I can’t imagine trying to do those + all the dailies Shadowlands has. Have you even seen how many quests Abomination Factory has?? One for each dude!
Edit to add: for the record this character is ranked 5 on all of Wyrmrest for amount of quests completed not counting dailies/weeklies. Rank 322 in all US realms. I do a lot of questing, I’d like to think I know a little about it.

Then do them faster and you wont have that problem. ![]()
just curious, but why not do the quests? why grab them then let them sit in your log?
if you plan to go back and do them late,r why not just not pick them up until later when you go to do them?
I totally agree that a 25 quest limit seems a little silly, but I also don’t see why it’s a huge issue either.
The quest log is still too small. I have to often review my quests and remove ones I would rather not remove.
Dude…
You necroed this from the grave when its 3 years old. What is wrong with you?

It gets cluttered quickly when you’re a returning player, too. I have some characters that are still holding onto completed or partially completed quests from past expansions that I still mean to turn in or complete.
I don’t see any downsides to increasing the quest log limit.
