The purpose of heroic dungeons?

It’s not to learn boss mechanics since that’s m0/m2.

It’s not for gearing since by the time you can access it you’re already being funnelled into m0.

And it’s not for experiencing the dungeon or levelling since that’s covered by normal.

So what’s even the point of it any more? Tmog recolor?

So you want Heroic drops back to ilevel 571 and not ilevel 580? I am good with that. That would be fair. I upgraded all my Heroic 571 loots from Heroic to 584 just to become epic. And now it drops 580? Pls move back Heroic drops loots to 571.

I learned Dawnbreaker on Heroic. Just queue for it. It’s bad if you try to learn it on M0 right now. The group formed for M0 just to pick up someone who doesnt know what the heck he is doing on Dawnbreaker. They have to kick you, get out of the dungeon to summon the replacement. All that hassle becoz the lazy didnt learn the dungeon on Heroic?

Lol.

You got people saying M0s are too hard or overtuned when they had 2 weeks to get 585+.

They introduce you to boss abilities in Heroics. Both of Raashaan abilities which you learn in heroics are there in the raid.

It is mostly for gearing. YOu gear in heroics, so you can perform in Delves and M0.

You learn the map and gain dungeon experience. Imagine if you had to do dawnbreaker dungeon - fresh of level 80 in mythics.

All of the above.

Tmog over everything.

That’s because they should have gone with the DF S3 curve they had, rather than kick away the stairs.

For Tanks and Healers, its that bonus loot that gives $$$ and augment runes that goes for a lot in the AH. I always queue up as tank or healer when the bonus loot is up. Can easily make hundreds of thousands through the gold and runes

They’re supposed to be the step up to M0. But the gap between the difficulties is massive, comparatively. So they’re useless.

According to these very forums, a staggering amount of players won’t touch m0 cause it doesn’t have a queue system. So, heroic is as high as they’re gonna go.

No one is going into mythics at ilevel 567 unless they’re being carried by a premade

But then heroic tends to teach you the mechanics wrong. Like how LFR/Normal teaches you that it’s ok to stand in the fire when it should oneshot you.

Yet i had to do delves to even get gear to access heroics, and by now i can just ignore them and do m0 instead.

And it’s not possible to do that dungeon on normal?

It literally just exists as a slightly scaled up difficulty for a higher ilevel and nothing more. And it leaves a massive gap between itself and m0 still oddly.

And m0 doesn’t have a queue thanks to a certain vocal part of the community…

M0 doesn’t have a queue to protect the community from itself.

People already tear each other apart for poor play in heroic dungeons.

Pretty much it’s entire niche is already covered by normal and m0. Blizzard just need to smoothen the gearing curve between normal m0 and m2.

You asked why. I gave you the answer.

Now you do what you think you should.

Skip heroic go straight to M0

So this was the plot.

So you don’t want to spend time playing the game once you finish normal but you are not high enough level for heroics.

You should just start doing world quest and upgrade you gear.

Can’t wait to see their thread about how difficult m0 is. Which it is, at least in a pug system.

To see mechanics and get gear, duh?

Though, the current difficulty of m0 isn’t really that relevant since that can always be adjusted. As we saw how flip-flopping blizzard were in DF, from S3 having a smooth difficulty curve to S4 where they kicked away the stairs rather than remove every 2nd redundant step.

As of now the niche of heroic dungeons is simply covered by both normal and m0 dungeons.

It’s for people who refuse to use manual grouping.

Its for those of us who will never touch mythic with a 15 foot pole because we dont want to
