The Puppeteer

So, for anyone who’s done the questline, “Pawns and Puppetry,” I just want to know HOW he got so many different races, he had worgen and draenei, for example. Imo I didn’t really understand why, because there are no native Draenei or Worgen, for example.
I’ll give the Blood Elf puppets a by, because there is a conversation option in Dunelle’s Kindness where you ask an Arathi “Are you an elf?” She explains that elves were part of their lineage, but she is Arathi.
Just some food for thought.

From Dalaran obviously

I thought Dalaran too when I did the quest line. There is also the possibility the spider people all over Azeroth are connected.

See, I thought maybe Dalaran but it’s way too much to suspect that citizens of Dalaran somehow got to Azj-Kahet when they initially crashed into the bay south of Dornogal on the Isle of Dorn. Especially with the Coreway non-functional at the time?

If you have done some of the Isle of Dorn side quests you’d know they have their own tunnels

I’ve actually done all the quests available atm lol, and yes, but I think it’s very… impractical to think they tunnel up, kidnap a few Dalaran residents, and that’s it.

The npcs you save in the main questline are from Dalaran or they’re Expedition members that got yoinked

I think that guy bought or bargained for … the more desirable interesting pets … that some of the other nerubians acquired.

Seems like they like to show off their status and having pets was one way to do it.

They may have been captives from Northrend, which they’ve demonstrated that they have ties to. They speak of it in at least one of the quest chains.

Right at the beginning of the siege in Dalaran, when the spider queen pops out of the portal talking trash, it shows Nerubians webbing up and kidnapping citizens.

Could be from that. Wouldn’t be a stretch in assuming they snatched up more than just the two we’re shown.

You’re probably right, just based off the way he talks about my character the entire time I’m cleaning his little workshop, and the fact that everyone who is Ascended and has a “pet” talks down to the Orator you’re with the entire time you’re investigating.

You’re so right. I have been more focused on Khadgar being missing that I totally forgot about that.

Different kingdom of nerubians that are too far away really. There’s lore things scattered around that explain that kingdom is too far away to really be a reasonable destination for the Kaheti.

Also the magic from dalaran went into the water and its making crabs teleport in Hallowfall. So one can assume that some folks got ported randomly to Azj-Kahet

Trade still may be possible. Although the Dalaran civilians explanation is likely the right one, we do literally see them take civilians in the opener.

Honestly I think it’s both. It’s not like EVERYONE works for the Puppeteer, he’s just some talented artist that people want to collect pieces from.

Eh, in one of those the old Queen says that when they got distress calls from Azjol’nerub during the War of the Spider, they could have sent troops but decided not to because she thought that Anub’arak got himself into this mess and can get himself out.

That implies that they know of a way to reach there, at least.
