Preface: I’m Loremaster Crieve, I have completed 100% of the quests in WoW Classic that are still available on a couple of my characters.
Every year in January, shortly after the holiday ends, the Dun Morogh quest “The Public Servant” resets its completion state back to incomplete and allows for players to complete it again.
I believe this quest is incorrectly marked as a Yearly quest and needs to have its definition altered to make it a one-time quest like all of the other non-Holiday quests.
Whoops, wrong character. This is my main that completed this quest 3 times now. Once during initial launch year, once last year, and once again this year.
I noticed the same thing.
I wondered how I could have missed this quest on (3) characters on Anniversary server Dreamscythe. The quest is, indeed, available to do again and the /run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(433)) function returns a ‘false’ result

I’m also here in 2025, playing almost 20 years, tonight on my toon I created back then, wandered across this and checking wholly wondered how in the world had I missed this? But like others for all I know I may have done this now several times. Well, let’s go again!
