The Problem with Containing a Death Loa
Issue: I cannot kill Zel’han. He is immune to any damage. I cannot continue my campaign until I do this.

He is just floating in the air and evades all attacks. Standing here with a lot of other people wondering what to do.

I was hoping to catch up a bit and upgrade my faction gear but I cannot progress any further.

ok guys i had to just go to org, turn on war mode to force a phase change, and when i came back he was reset and i was able to do the fight. try that and let me know if it works for you also.

This is still bugged. The NPC Zel’han the Summoner is protected by Undeath Barrier. Says "Protected from all damage while Scourge of the Dreadmire is active Spell ID: 334791
The world quest of “Agent of Death” is up which is what I believe is protecting Zel’han. Problem is, you can’t to the world quest as all the NPCs you need to kill for that area all phased out and the areas is void of anything to kill to to Agent of Death.
Chicken/egg cart/horse kind of problem.
So do all of us a solid, read this and just give us credit so we can get on with our lives please.
ty this worked for me. warmode on and he wasn’t bugged so was able to kill him and get credit.

Changing into War Mode does seem to solve this issue for now. Hope they fix this problem soo.
Still bugged as of today. Finished the first two quests in the area, went to complete this quest and the boss is at 50% health, floating in the air, immune to damage. There’s no way to attack him or aggro him or get him to engage in any way.
Went to Org to turn WM on, and it’s fine.
Is the quest just bugged for WM off people?
Still bugged as of today for people with WM off. I submitted a support ticket as well and just got redirected here… I’ll try the WM thing, thanks for the advice.

This is still a bug. Why is it still broken? It has been more than 8 months since this bug was discovered, and it is still not fixed. Ridiculous.
Also, no, the War Mode toggle is not a fix. It is a by-pass. This needs to be FIXED. Players should not be forced to by-pass a bug that is over 8 months old.
It’s now September of '22. This is still bugged, and war mode on/off changes nothing for me. Tried all of the iterations of war mode with completely shutting down the game and restarting, going into an instance, waiting an update, and still can’t complete the quest. If this was a side quest, it wouldn’t be as big of a deal, but it’s been a YEAR, and this is a campaign quest that grinds the whole thing to a halt. I can’t proceed. I’ll try grouping up with guildies with the war mode flip flop and see if that helps.
I have experienced the same issue, but I logged out at the location. After a day or two, I logged back in and he was attacking me. It worked just be ready to fight.
- Still a problem. Wouldn’t be such a big issue if this wasn’t a REQUIRED CAMPAIGN quest. Unbelievable.
