The "pro RDF" crowd is proof WOTLK isn't Classic

“It’s pointless to dwell on yesterday because I am no longer the same person I was back then.”

LFD in retail is what has me social. and out and about.

Can’t even count how many legion levelers I asssisted on incursions since there for rep runs.

get your tags in…

okay, all good. smack elite down. anyone need a dungeon quest. I can run that out too fast? Sometime legions rep quests are dungeons. They get no xp on the run but they get quest complete xp. and I pass on loot. one day I will get that damned flying carpet from nightbourne paragon. One day…

I can’t really sign up for necrotic wake when in legion lacking lfd.

Nah, RDF was in wrath. Should have remained. I don’t want to spam group channels. It’s dumb and not a social experience.

You are proof, Vlork, that PvP has ruined a large chunk of this game. It always leads to toxicity and dumb decisions.

This is why many spammed the crap out of AV.

to either gear up for open world pvp (like say grobb) or avoid it. why I can call pve servers home. I still get instances. and I don’t need to be full brutal/guardian on all 70’s just to level.

since ofc the best use of full brutal by gankers is to kill a 60 doing intro quests in outland . then say “git gud”.

And the absolute abandonment of Vanilla era, Vanilla SoM, and TBCC is proof that Blizzard isn’t capable of making changes that people want to play long-term.

I’m here because I love Wrath and have been enjoying the expansion as it was for years on laggy servers. I was hopeful that with this Blizzard would provide a way for me to have that experience while paying them for it.

That has nothing to do with whether it’s “Classic” or not. Classic to me means a recreation of the expansion, with some changes such as us being at 3.3.5 already which included the RDF.

If you want no RDF, you should be rallying for all the class balance to be undone too because this was not the patch WOTLK started at, sorry to tell ya.

This but 1000% louder. And the reward system too is seriously a joke. The hubris from this dev team knows no bounds.

If no one talks in RDF dungeons and you’re in those same dungeons the question needs to be asked…are you even talking?

Then the following question needs to be asked… do people owe you a conversation?

I talk in RDF dungeons in retail. Ask folks if they know the fights to help the dungeons go faster. I compliment folks on their transmog/armor. I make fun of Gnomes. There’s plenty to talk about in dungeons regardless if they’re formed via RDF or the LFG channel.

If you are not getting any socialization out of RDF dungeons perhaps you should look at yourself. You are the common denominator.

Think and then type

RDF was added in 3.3.0 which came out with the LAST RAID tier other than RS which was a catchup side raid like ZA. ICC was stretched for a whole year. Therefore, RDF was only in at the very end of wrath. In terms of alts/catchup RDF was useful or for making gold for selling services, nothing less, nothing more. Google “All Blizzard WoW patches” click on wowpedia fandom and go down to Wrath expansion, expand it, go to patch 3.3.0 read what patch 3.3.0 implemented, furthermore, read every patch past 3.3.0. ffs do your research. I get it you have low iq, that’s fine. But don’t argue your feelings with facts.

I’ll never not be impressed how hard anti-RDF people try to push the “it wasn’t in until the very end!!!1” defense

if you have a length of rope, divided into 4 segments, but the 4th segment is as long as the other 3 segments combined, you aren’t going to call the 4th segment the “end” of the rope

That is what you are doing. It, timewise, came in the middle of Wrath, not the end. You calling it the end because it was the last major raid does not make it the end.

I don’t think you can say anything on what a “classic” is. Let’s use songs for example, they are “remade” to the artists play style. And this isn’t even restricted to one band, it’s hundreds, if not thousands.

I played wow since vanilla, and I like RDF, does that make me a wrath baby? No, I even stated I didn’t initially like rdf multiple times. But then I released I was able to do more things across my characters because of having RDF and have more fun to do other things outside of wow.

Not only this but in my experience, having to navigate to the mob-filled entrance where the other team are often ganking lower level players, and the party having to corpse run sometimes just to get in at all, and then players needing summoning, and then getting to the entrance and someone leaves and then you have to go back out and re-summon someone new and do it all again…

People are exhausted before they even start the dungeon.

RDF makes you able to enjoy the dungeon itself, people are in a better mood, inconveniences don’t cost you half your evening. And dungeons became actually worth doing! Different parties find different secrets of the dungeon, and run it different ways. Without RDF, you generally do the dungeon 1 time only and then never see it again, and if you rushed it and missed content, too bad maybe an alt will see it.

The dungeon system pre-Wrath was… just so bad. So horribly designed. Artificial difficulty with no reward.

you realize Dec. 08, 2009 until June 29, 2010 was all RDF, the last raid tier of wrath was ICC which came out the same date as RDF. Sure in terms of time RDF took up “half” of wotlk. but this was ONLY during ICC the last raid patch. Holy fk dude, use your brain. my god xd so in reality RDF was only at the END of wrath. You can’t argue this, it’s impossible otherwise. Like how does your brain not understand this simple 1+1 equation

I dont think that RDF is really a major player in what created ‘wrath babies’. I know that this may sound crazy, but loot acquisition is by far the single most impactful game design element in WoW. When its bad the game is bad, when its good the game is good. Wotlk introduced raids that completely invalidate the previous tier along with catchup mechanics to devalue previous loot earned by steady players. These two things are what are most important to go after in “some changes”. RDF is just a convenience tool that is a mild contribution to the degradation of the game at best.

Ok, that was actually funny

Now there are 11 of you.

Obviously, the op just wanted to rub a little salt in the wound.

Correct, if they were actually playing the game they would know that.

Yes it was and now it is: Retail Lite - Vanilla Edition

Yeah, because this is our expansion. Go play on Vanilla if you wanna remember the good ol days of 360p gaming.

are all your 2504 messages the same sentence? just curious, i see you spamming this in every thread i lurk

“Yeah it took up half of the xpac, but it was the last half of the xpac which was the last patch/raid tier, so it doesn’t really count as half.”

Half if half no matter how you want to twist it.
