I have the same issue. I have cleared normal and killed 6 bosses on heroic and still 36/40 echoes

Have now full cleared Normal 3 weeks, Heroic the 4th week and a spattering of the other difficulties’ bosses on the opposite. I’m at 30/50 after week 4… This is ridiculous. I’m a full week behind

Full cleared normal: 38/40. Cleared each LFR wing: 0. Cleared 6/9 heroic: 0. Im gonna be pretty upset if the rest of my raid is able to craft the enchant next week and Im still 2 behind.

I’m just straight up missing this quest from my log entirely after having picked it up week 2 on my shaman (ending up doing a main swap early in season), and am not able to pick it up from anywhere
After your “fix” I am still missing echoed ephemera, Im at 37/50, I have full cleared both normal and heroic since week 1, it will be very sad if Im unable to craft the enchant next week because of this bug. Hopefully it gets fixed by then

I’m in the same exact boat…37/50. At this point they just need to give the item over next week no matter what lol.
So on my 3rd ticket that I opened (I provided them screen shots of my quest log and vault showing proof of multi full clears and still not maxed out) and they finally gave me something less BS worthy, though not at that helpful since I have already done it.
They told me that they can see i am having an issue with the quest, and it would help them if people submit a bug report rather than opening tickets because they get more in game data from bug reports over a ticket. In-game bug report gives them screen shots and logs of everything we are doing and where we are located more directly, and they said it is much faster in getting developers to look into an issue over a ticket. He then ended it by saying “Again, I’m, sincerely sorry that you’ve come across this bug”
I am a little more hopeful with this response that if we all submit in-game bug reports, this will probably get more attention because the forums for the last 2 weeks have not given any progress with blizzard acting on this issue. PLEASE open an in-fame bug report so they will look into it!
I’m in the same boat on my main and at 17/50 on my alt. I know nothing about making a video game but how hard is it to make an item drop for a quest?
Full cleared the raid on heroic every week and im 38/50 where some guidies are 40/50
I realize this was for a different issue but so many of us now are stuck at 38/40
A GM told me:
"So, the way these Echoed Ephemera work is they will drop (but not be visible) if you have the quest, meaning if you say killed 3 bosses in LFR getting 2 from all the bosses, then you went and picked up the quest you would now be down 2 Echoed Ephemera per week.
This is due to these being counted as drops even when you don’t have the quest itself, this would mean in the first week you likely only had the opportunity to earn a total of 8.
As I mentioned before, due to how this all works we can’t compensate these, and I do hope this further explanation helps out. If you do have any further issues or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us again!"
And look, that doesnt make any sense to me…

I mean, I guess that kind of makes sense, though im confused as to how everyone was caught up and up to 20 AFTER they mailed the echoes out… so we should have received 10 that that tuesday but we didn’t… but when I opened ticket, GM told me it showed them I had looted 30? I only had 28/50 later in the week after they mailed out the missing echoes, making me having looted only 8… Online it said initially you had to kill gnarlroot first in order to get the quest, so are they saying we tech got echoes from killing 1st boss 1st week of raid, before we got the quest? And thats why we are behind? Because the count started for us before we got the quest? That sounds 100% like a bug.

I checked your count and you actually do have 40. I believe this is simply a display issue. Now in case your quest does not complete after you gain 10 more, this more than likely is due to not picking up Echoed Ephemera after the quest was initially picked up.

Does this mean that my character will be locked at 47 next week and the game assumes that I have 50? If so, there is no catchup mechanic that would allow me to gain the 50 as that would be the cap. Do I have to drop the quest on Tuesday and pray that the game gives me the ability to make up the remainder of my echoed ephemera?
I would wait another 2 weeks, kill 1 boss before dropping to see if you get anymore echoes. Its essentially a bug that they arent calling a bug lol.
Adding my voice to those stuck at 37/50. They just stopped dropping for some reason
I’m in also one of the ones that received some in the mail after first week to catch me up to 10/50 and week two was fine, week 3 was fine, now week four has me at 38/50 when everyone else is 40/50. At what is suppose to me average drop of 2-3 per raid boss and I have done lfr, normal and heroic all bosses, I got shorted as well. Hope this gets figured out before reset so I can get my head enchant and don’t have to wait a week since I have put the work in for it.
I dont know that it makes sense, what quest in the history of WoW started ‘dropping quest items invisibly before you grabbed the quest that counts against your total cap but doesn’t actually count for your actual quest’
huh, better a fix for Tuesday, half getting the helm enchant and half not is going to start an uproar. even if they fix it later in the day. thats valuable time that people didnt have it at the same rate as others.
