The Plague Event is Fine, but only if it's Opt-In

But this isn’t Warmode. If you didn’t know the Zombies were controlled by players you’d be fine but that knowledge seems to be what’s causing your anxiety.

It affects both in and out of WM.

It affects both in and out of WM.

It affects both in and out of WM.

Not sure what you’re trying to say here. The 4th war wasn’t and isn’t as big as a scourge invasion would be? I’d agree with that.

It affects both in and out of WM.

It affects both in and out of WM.

Now apply that logic to world events.

This event affects both in and out of WM.

PC zombies act differently from AI zombies. It’s not even close. You can’t be serious in thinking the fact that there’s someone else behind the control is the sole difference.

To be honest, as much as I loved the event in Wrath, the new one seems to lag the heck out of the servers to an almost unplayable extent.

For that reason alone, it’d be nice to be able to opt out; It’d suck for the game to be literally unplayable for the entire prepatch.

The version on the PTR one minute debuff ect, only existed for a day. The debuff started at 10 minutes.

PC Zombies should not be able to attack non-War Mode players. That’s what AI zombies are for. It’s what War Mode is for.

This event does not take WM into account. This event is independent of WM. The quicker you can actually accept this the quicker we can move on.

It’s not something worth accepting. Players need to respect other players’ choices. If I chose to turn War Mode off, there’s a very good reason for it.

It in this instance, there is no choice. War Mode is not, and has never been, a I wish to remove myself from all pvp button.

Then what’s it for?

It toggles always on pvp. However, you could always do so manually using /pvp. Also places and events in the game world will auto toggle. It has always been so. There is no way to completely opt out of all pvp in world of WARcraft. And there never should be.

Im on the PTR right now. The invasions are set on a timer, right now there is no infectious ghouls and have not been for a few hours, maybe more.

There were none last night either. I did exiles reach just fine start to finish. Including the run to the stables to get the mount.

All of those instances are you looking for PvP. If you do something that is aggressive in PvP, yes, you should get flagged into War Mode. This is normal and good and helps prevent griefing of PvP NPCs by non-War Mode characters.

These PvP objectives are also clearly labeled, even with a custom icon alongside their portrait, to warn you that, yes, you will flag if you attack this being.

HOWEVER, it is all dependent on YOU doing something. It is dependent on YOU entering the PvP zone. Is it dependent on YOU attacking the PvP objective.

In this, there is no choice. I’m force-flagged and then killed. That is wrong, and needs to change.

It stopped around 11pm est last night and has not started back up since

That’s not up to you. That’s up to Blizzard.

Players need to respect the game world and game rules. This event affects both inside and outside of WM the same.

Which prevents you from being attacked by a player’s class, not a player’s zombie.

Then kill them. Problem solved.

Yeah. All you want is to do is grief. You can’t cut actual PvP or BGs, so you need your ganking Blizzard-empowered because otherwise you’d never square up for it.

Hell, at this point, I hope the damn event gets cancelled. There’s nothing here worth saving aside from PvP toxicity.

Exactly how do I kill someone 100+ ilvls above me?

Stroll through Stormwind, don’t attack anything and let me know how that goes for you. You were being peaceful yet you’d be flagged.

If you walk by or through the opposite faction’s towns or settlements you’ll be flagged. This is no different.

Just gave you two examples where this is not the case. You’d have to avoid going around alliance settlements/cities or you will be attacked. How is the zombie event any different?

Zombies don’t have ilvls.

If your going to throw an absurd tantrum, perhaps you’d be better off playing hello kitty island adventure with butters.
