The Plague Event is Fine, but only if it's Opt-In

Sorry but if it’s going to be opt in they shouldn’t even do it

They don’t though. Because the facts are facts. It’s a limited time event. You’re not entitled to a single player game.

The fact we’re still talking about an event that happened over a decade ago is proof of the impact it had on wow.

Actually read my post to you. There was an argument in it. You self owned yourself and I get that me pointing it put stings. Actually learn from it though

Who is our warchief again?

Why are some people arguing for no opt-in? not that it would work, well perhaps with phasing it would.

This.

Having an opt-in event like this would negate the event’s existence in the first place.

How about no.

So you actually meant it had an effect on the community and the game itself, rather then just killing npc’s and players by “visible effect on the world”?

Because you said 100% (which you were heavily implying yes) to this.

Also, didn’t the event was cut short the last time? My guess is it wasn’t that great by the sound of it being cut short.

And again, if this event is so fun and exciting, it wouldn’t hinge on the forced participation of those who otherwise want to use the city and not participate.

Your fun hinges on them thus you are disrespecting their agency

Dude she’s gonna demand to speak to the manager.

This entire event pitches “player agency” out the window for a while.

It’s not going to stay, so it’s not a big deal to have it around for a bit.

Like I said, you’re not worth actually engaging with when you say things like that.

No it wouldn’t. Those that want to play with it can and those who dont won’t have to. If it so cool and awesome, it would have players participating by its sheer existence

Sounds funny tho

Because nobody would do it. People would do it for a minute or two and go back to afking in the auction house.

There has been nothing the players have ever done that has had a visible impact on the world. Only Blizzard makes visible impacts on the world.

Forgive my poor wording.

From my understanding Blizzard caved into a few loud whiners on the forums. If history is any indication the new event won’t see the light of day thanks to people like you and the OP.

And true!
But I guess I’m now cancelling Karen culture.

The whole idea of an event like this is to take away the player agency for a bit, so opt-in isn’t even an option.

That’s just a ridiculous idea on its face.

Then prove me wrong. I assert that your own arguments work against your stance. I told you why. Now actually argue differently or will you just try your snowflake line again?
