The Plague Event is Fine, but only if it's Opt-In

I also originally told you to go level in Draenor where nobody will go(and is highly phased, causing further problems for anybody wanting to specifically target those regions).

You have options. You’re just ignoring them so you can act like the sky is falling.

You speak for Blizzard now? Interesting. Can you tell me what classes are coming out next?

Yes both stink worse then a truck backfire at a skunk family reunion. If you can opt out it makes it fun for both sides unless the reason is to ruin other people fun?

No, but I pay attention to what they say. Apparently you do not.

All of these ‘options’ are less workable than just adding an opt-in.

Pre-exp patch, Chromie time and the level squish likely active, do the math.

I didn’t find it fun

There is also that, which I honestly forgot about. Although I don’t think you get access to that until level 20 right? Or is it 10? and can do it directly after exiles reach?

Neat.

Roaming ghouls on their own aren’t even the massive issue. It’s when they group up and coordinate that the issues arise. You can see an AI Ghoul and stay out of its aggro range, use a multitude of threat wipes/disengages, but if a PC Ghoul sees you, there’s no de-aggro.

There are ways to play around a Ghoul controlled by AI that you can’t do when they’re a player.

My understanding is 10 or just after exiles reach

Due to the way this event is about crazy zombies… I doubt they would have made it so aggro reducers would work on them. Some NPCs in the game already ignore such mechanics these would probably do the same. At the very least ones that don’t make you literally invisible. Playing dead I doubt would make a zombie stop going after you though. They would just start picking at your guts.

That’s just how it goes. We don’t always get options to make the game work exactly how we’d like it to.

They’re not going to make a toggle for everything that people want to bypass. Especially given this is just a temporary event and there are already ways you can try to avoid it.

Even if this is a problem it can be easily fixed by having an area around Chromie that you can’t kill other players.

The point is, AI can be managed and worked around. You’re being deliberately obtuse here. Otherwise you might as well delete ALL OTHER ENTITIES except Ghouls for the duration of this event because ‘they’re rampaging everywhere and attacking everything’.

Hahaha, then you’ve made it a situation where the Ghouls literally can’t do anything of note because you have invincible players killing them because of an NPC aura.

We get to kill Nathanos in this event so that’s a definite plus.

And that would be the solution in order to get this event to the magnitude of what is suppose to be happening. Which is why it works better for them to do it as a PvX thing instead of the PvE route. Read the story on the Lich King some and learn exactly what it means that the crown is now destroyed. Maybe you will come to appreciate the event more.

I know the Lich King story. I know how the helm works.

I think this event is stupid for forcing me into PvP. So I log off for a while and come back once sanity returns and you gank-happy cretins get it out of your system.

You can easily make it a non-combat zone just around Chromie.

Though honestly even if you could fire out of it, ghouls would just avoid that area and go about their business everywhere else.

Then I guess they should of just went the PvE route and made them have insanely large aggro radius’s to the point where if you can see a ghoul it will attack you.

It’s at least manageable there. It doesn’t time its abilities. It doesn’t link up with other Ghouls.

Also never being able to leave combat means you have no regen, no food, no drinks, nothing. You run out of resources and die with no recourse. Neat!

Or, again, you can just opt-out.

Or, as I guess it may come to, log off for a couple weeks. Whatever.
