Look, I put out the call, and you answered. Thirty-five suggestions on the table, hundreds of votes pouring in. This isn’t some academic exercise; this is the will of the people, and it’s going to stand for a few more weeks.
The results? No surprise here. Dwarf Shamans, Horde Paladins – that’s what the players want. That’s the grassroots movement right there. Right behind 'em, training dummies in major cities and interrupts off the GCD. Common sense stuff. What did shock me, though? SOD TBC coming in at number four. I figured I was a lone wolf on that one, wanting to shake up TBC. Turns out, there’s a whole lot more of us who see some changes in TBC.

100% want the classes but…if large scale SoD development is over (no new “Phases”) then this would be way better served as a key selling point for Classic+ or a future seasonal iteration
Giving shaman to alliance n pala to horde was one of the few big mistakes they made in BC. Classic has never been about balance. Uniqueness is what makes classic, classic.
Training dummies is an acceptable change.
Interrupt spells off gcd isn’t classic. Cast interruption is a big deal in classic. If you wanna do that, you gotta slow down on hammering keys for burst n predict a window for interrupt.
Depends on what classic plus is, I can’t go back to one button rotations and mc style mechanics… I really just want more sod.
Valid point, respect your opinion and it has merit, but I still want an undead paladin, lol…
Especially in sod where the rotations are more than one button.
Another valid point, but if they are going to give us fights like council, I would like interrupts off the gcd… Did some stuff on the MOP beta and it just feels sooooooo good…
Or…they can just do Season of Legacies. Which is just a 1 year rehash of each expansion, with some tweaks (ie Titan Protocol affixes for Wrath Classic or LFG Tool for Anniversary).
I think at a minimum Horde Paladins, Alliance Shamans, and some genuinely good PvP updates would make SOD feel like a completed game and keep a decent amount of people playing it all the way to classic+. Anything else would be gravy.
It’s SOD or bust for me until classic+. I can’t bring myself to play 1 button classic or even TBC again. If you’ve already played those games it just feels like going backwards and an enormous waste of time.
There is a bunch of misinformation about sod being completed, there are also a bunch of folks not playing sod jealous of the fun that SOD enjoyers are having…
How do you explain they added a new spec week after phase 8 was released ? And nothing say it’s done or not unless blizzard admit it ! I dont play
pally but shockadin hype, phase 9 hype.
I agree if it was finished in P8 then it would be over, but since they said SOD continues with Scarlet Enclave that is a moot point…
You can’t explain it, these folks who are pooo pooing phase 9 are just bitter about the amount of joy SOD has produced. There is no more excited player base then the SOD player base right now (imo).
Way to extrapolate false information from what’s been said.
I don’t play SoD, but I’m happy for those that do. I fully intend to get involved in whatever they do next, but I’m not getting into SoD because it’s so far into the season and that’s a tall task to get caught up.
