Turalyon is literally a noble of Lordaeron and fell to his feet to beg Alonsus for forgiveness when he forgot about him.
Calia Menethil is Turalyon’s queen. He’s not going to attack Lordaeron, it’d be attacking his home.

Calia Menethil is Turalyon’s queen. He’s not going to attack Lordaeron, it’d be attacking his home.
He is also musing about which old alliance holdings they can retake. Calia is not his queen, she’s in charge of the forsaken
Then they wrote Turalyon wrong.
If he falls to his feet and praises his old teacher who is a forsaken. But then rejects Calia despite the fact that he led her father’s army, the character is inconsistent.
Goes from “I remember my old life” to “what old life?”
Why would he care about Calia though? She means literally nothing to him in the grand scheme of things.
in Before the Storm he expresses that undead are abominations. He may recognize Calia’s royalty but also not see the Foraken as legitimate Lordaeron citizens. He may see them as monsters he needs to eradicate to get his home back.
It’s up in the air what they are going to do with him tbh,
Realistically if writers cared Calia would of been killed just for being associated with arthas like in real life even if she didn’t do anything. And killed I mean again
That same story where turaylon also changed his mind.
That would certainly be cool but seeing as Golden had to apparently push for this Light undead character to be Calia I still worry she’s part of some Light VS Void concept.
And I really hope the failure of Shadowlands teaches them not to do that. The Old Gods got 900% less interesting the more we learned about them. Ya just can’t do cosmic horror in a power fantasy RPG. Once you slap a stat block and healthbar on Cthulhu you’ve already ruined it. Can’t really be an unknowable being older than the stars whos very visage causes madness when I can see he’s weak to Arcane magic or whatever.
And as for the Light- well they couldn’t even win a war against Draculas. Which is like a mongoose losing to a garter snake. So I just do not care what the wind chimes think as they’re next to useless.
that’s why I think it’s up in the air.
him realizing his mentor is still a person isn’t the same as giving the Forsaken a pass to exist. foal is just one person and he’s not Foraken, he’s a neutral character loyal only to the Light, which Turalyon agrees with, Foal does not challenge Turalyon’s personal beliefs.
it will be interesting to see how Turalyon reacts to Nathalie Saline.
It’s not if he can recognize faol is still a person it’s not hard to believe he can do it for other forsaken. There is never going to be another faction war expansion it’s been done and over with. Frankly I don’t want to see another horde or alliance leader go evil again we need to move on this same storytelling they should of done it in bfa but they didn’t.
they already made Turalyon go evil when he was okay with a Naaru torturing his wife for choosing the Void, when he was using the Light to torture people in Shadows Rising.
Doesn’t matter frankly they been hinting more at turaylon redeeming himself with him coming to terms with things like forsaken being people in case of alonus faol and accepting blood elf paladins exist. They no way been hinting at his downfall other then playerbase continuing to get it wrong.
we will see.
Not we will see it’s in place. Frankly it’s much better to have a redemption then another hero goes crazy. Him learning to accept others is just more satisfying. Edit: anyways going back to doing venthyr because I have more own redemption to do. Thank you for discussion ren
when the Dv’s were asked about Turalyon’s actions in Shadows Rising they said, the Alliance has a problem with Hero worship and thier goal with Turalyon is to dismantle some of that hero worship. They admitted they are villian batting him. because he stands for a toxic part of the community.
Then they flat out are again going about it the wrong way. Because everything in place I see the opposite. Did they confirm they are villian batting him or did they confirm he’s going to come to terms with how Azeroth and possibly a redemptions edit: look I’m not denying alliance has a hero worship problem when I first joined the alliance back when I started wow I had the same issue
Another reason Turalyon isn’t going to touch Calia.
This is Calia Menethil’s Naaru. They’re allies since they both love the Naaru lol.
Since Calia Menthil is literally rebirthed with the Light, I wouldn’t be surprised if Turalyon is more willing to follow her. The dude is a zealot of the Light.
One Menethil to rule them all, One Menethil to find them, One Menethil to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
Look I see ren point as a horde player it’s not fun watching alliance always being good guys the problem is not so much with novels I think maybe they do good job of portraying turaylon going evil but in game it’s downright showing none of this other some vague motive of reclaiming other human kingdoms
that’s what is up in the air, we will have to wait and see. his actions in Shadow’s Rising and in A Hundred years War and Legion were all questionable but they leave room for doubt. Yes he does bad things for the Light but he also internalizes those bad choices and often times agrees in the consequences to those actions. You are right, they have a vehicle with Turalyon to approach this in a constructive manner and not just vilifying him.
