How is it possible for anyone to farm this? It drops from a level 39 rare elite. There are three of these on the AH. Even a large raid shouldn’t be able to kill this guy. Is Blizzard planting these to reduce Gold on the server.

a raid could easily kill a level 39, a group already killed king mosh and hes like a level 55? elite
Ok but no level 25 raid should be able to hit a level 39 rare elite. The numbers don’t add up. SOD is a variation on retail and not classic. Thank you for all replies.
what are you talking about? I can solo lvl 31 mobs. Ashenvale PvP raids regularly kill Splintertree Guards. A large raid could 100% kill a lvl 39 rare elite.
That said, its far more likely flyhacking bots are doing it as was already suggested.

If the difference between the mob’s Defense Skill and your Weapon Skill is greater than 10, then the formula for calculating your base miss rate against that mob is:
- 7% + (Defense Skill - Weapon Skill - 10)*.4%
- dual-wielding: 26% + (Defense Skill - Weapon Skill - 10)*.4%
So about an 80% chance to miss? Wowhead only shows 1,196 HP for him, that’s not much with runes. Honestly a couple hunters could most likely get that done, Both in SoD and on ERA servers.
hunters actually.autoshot cant glance dodge or parry. its either full damage(reduced by armor for course) or a miss.
