I guess it’s fairly clear now by engagement numbers that BRD (heroic) is not seeing the engagement that it should.
I don’t think it needs a nerf though.
What needs to change is the queueing system for the raid.
The fact that 1 or 2 people leaving after a wipe means that now everyone has to exit the raid and re-queue and wait around. And then you re-join the raid and all the trash before the boss you were just pulling/progressing has respawned and now you have to reclear… It’s just so annoying for pugs.
I guarantee that if you made it like a regular current raid where you just get people in and out on a boss-by-boss or pull-by-pull basis, the engagement would double/triple/quadruple instantly.
Please please Blizzard don’t take the wrong lesson away from BRD. The raid is good. The mechanics are good. It’s a little bit hard but it’s not THAT hard, especially now after the 11% nerf.
The thing that’s killing your engagement is only how annoying it is to queue and replace people on the fly for pugs. Fix this and the raid is a slam dunk.

The other issue is that BRD dilutes your vault. I can’t run BRD on my main because my main is still trying get Spymasters. Running Heroic BRD would reduce my chances of getting it.
It doesn’t. BRD loot doesn’t roll from vault.
It fills it but it doesn’t dilute it.
I joined 4 groups today and killed the first boss once. Twice the group fell apart on the first boss. Now it just fell apart because it wasnt possible to even fill it and start. They need to seriously make some changes, and that includes nerfs.
