The one good thing about Siren Isle

Is Blizz listened to the negative feedback and made all the gems immediately available. Originally the plan was that we’d have to wait until certain enemies come into the isle so we can unlock the gem associated with those enemies. Blizzard adapted to the feedback and just fixed it, despite it being intended to be a whole thematical thing.

I hope moving forward Blizz maintains this attitude whenever they try something new that flops with the audience, rather than letting it ride for months before fixing it.

Siren Isle still isn’t good, but at least I can mostly pretend it doesn’t exist after I got everything I wanted off of it relatively quick.

Players still go there? (you are all absolutely right!)

Eh. I warmed up to the Isle over time. I just wish there was more to it than killing rares and that there were more ‘events’ that were actual, y’know, events.

When I think event, I think of making soup or, more recently, the theater. If that change to the citrines wasn’t made I don’t know if I would’ve stuck with it. Just felt bad having this big fancy ring and it actively being worse than one I can get in a Delve T8 in 10 minutes.

It all worked out in the end. And it’s been a pretty nice catch up island through the end of S1.

It’s been packed every time I went. Folks made plenty of alts during the last weeks of the season, and it’s a good way to get decked out in full Vet gear, with a free bit of Champ. That’s good enough to start Delving after hitting 80.

I like it. Immediate full veteran gear for a fresh 80 that I can change into tier.

Idk if I’ll still be going there in s2, at least for something other than the ring, but still nice enough for S1.

I’ve spent very little time there, I went and did the ring stuff and left.

It was so small, I don’t like small zones at all.

The weekly quests are still a pretty easy way to grab 120 - 150 valor stones.

I wish there were herbs/mines, but maybe that would be hard with how small it is.

do u know how much mogs there are to collect for the currency there

I feel like Blizz just forgot to put herbs and mines :skull:

Good for alts cause you can straight up buy Veteran track gear after hitting 80.

I do… 30-60 minutes a week to get the currency and finish buying the transmogs. Never really felt the loop was bothersome or much different than any other zone like it.

It seems WoWHead recommends the exact three gems for almost every class and spec, so it’s…

  1. take alt to island
  2. skip quest, get ring
  3. buy one gem from vendor
  4. kill two tunnel bosses for other two gems
  5. leave island

I keep hoping my friends will want to go check it out with me but so far none are interested. :frowning:
I got the ring and just kinda put the island on hold ever since.

Hopefully this teaches them that players in general hate waiting on special/rare spawns to get ahold of stuff related to player progression.

This has always stunk as a mechanic in any game that ever featured it.

Nothing sucks worse than waiting on some kind of weather/special conditions/special spawns in order to get something you need, especially if it’s random and you can’t know ahead of time when the stars will align. F off with that crap, TBH.

If your alts have crap trinkets the Vyrkul Lamp trinket is probably worth just as much or more than the Siren Ring.
