Does anyone remember what the ogres used to look like?

I still remember my first time seeing an Ogre in WoW. I was a troll shaman up by the Venture Co Mine by Orgrimmar. I actually thought they were some sort of fat hobgoblin or human.
Mostly because they are really small for an ogre, looked not at all like WC2 or 3 ogres and their label was just “Venture COmpany Foreman” or maybe overseer.
I don’t think I figured out that was a model for ogres until I ran into them in Alterac. Their later graphical update was one of the few model updates that I thought was an all around improvement.
