Hello friends, community members, and Blizzard personnel. Dragonflight has come and we recieved the long awaited ducks as Critters and Hunter pets. We love them. We cherish them. I dare say, this game is better with them included. But now I ask, why not the noble Opossum?
They are fantastic little friends. Highly resistant to rabies, immune to rattlesnake venom, and for every Opossum out in the wild, there are 5000 less ticks for every season. I ask you friends. This isn’t about wanting Opossums. This is about Azeroth NEEDING our marsupial pals.
Plus, imagine the pet ability. Playing dead? Come on. Again. I appreciate you taking my humble request. They are my favorite animal.
Thanks!

Originally just a critter in the wild or a hunter pet. But now that you bring it up…Why not both?
I for one support our trash critters!

what if you can make a massive one that is 10 times the size of a person
I second the request for opossums. They are noble creatures. I am not being held against my will. Wait, I wasn’t supposed to say that last part.

eh,no thanks I would like a Koala bear.
No. They’re even larger rats, but with horrendous little homunculus hands.
Hard veto
I saw one today in the road

I love these guys. A big fat one shows up sometimes to clean up my cats’ leftovers.
But what I think most of all is that it’s time to update my dude, the humble 2004 wolf. I want my pet Westfall coyote from 2007ish to look modern.
Food of the Gods style? That was a funny movie.
Not quite true, possums do eat insects, but not that many ticks really (a fact supported by stomach content analysis of wild possums)… mostly just other insects. This myth comes from a botched Royal Society of London observational test to see which animals were good tick hosts, unfortunately they only assumed the ticks not accounted for from larva that dropped onto a metal plate were eaten… when in truth the ticks not found to have fallen off the opossums and other animals could have simply hatched and hung on (The Society members running the test didn’t check the Opossums and others for ticks still on the animal).
Having said that, I’ll take 20 of the trash puppies…

Possums are so cute. Just all bark and no bite.
Look at their tiny hands. So precious.

Hmm. I always though opossums existed to make rats feel beautiful.
I wouldn’t wanna be bit by one anyways… they got 50 teeth… which is some number more than they should need…
Anything that kill/eats ticks is a good vote in my book. Thanks for the quick stat, i am now on your side
