Isn’t the event horizon specifically the “barrier”, where escape velocity exceeds the speed of light (therefore light specifically)?
The Point of no return for anything with mass is way earlier (depending on mass).

True but its the point of no return for almost anything except somehow the energy particles that are ejected by it somehow.
I think a vacuum + slow should be baseline for Entropic Rift. Isn’t that the point of giving a Black Hole ability? Inescapable heavy damage.

While yes. They mostly like made the ability that way at first then pruned that passive out to turn it into a talent since they needed something to fill that slot. Remember shockwave for warrior? That use to have the cooldown reduction baked in for a long time then they peeled it out to turn it into a talent cause of PVP and cause they needed more talent filler.
