With the release of Anniversary classic parallel to the Scarab lord quest grind, it’s ever increasingly difficult to find players who are willing to log over to SoD to assist with the questline. now our Scarab lord seekers aren’t afraid to put in the hours but we’re fighting against blizzard here because they made it so that 100s of players can get on the questline easily via 20man raid size x 40 hour solo rep grind access. now that there are HUNDREDS of players per server attending for this it multiplied the grind factor immensely because all the locations are overcrowded 24/7.
If it were made a raidwide drop you could consolidate all the players who are seeking the drop and allow them to farm and work together rather than against each other.
Players will still be required to put in the hours of grinding to get their drops, but they won’t have to fight tooth and nail for a mob tag against 30 other groups on the same layer.
Overall the factors gone into making this feel awful is:
Overlap with Anniversary Classic
Overlap with Holidays
Bottleneck removed from the bug farming stage of the questline
50% reduced raid size = 200% Broodlord heads
Every single person with Broodlord head is able to get to the rest of the questline without the assistance of their guild.

Should be happy they removed the bug grind.
they need to do something the drop rate is easily .01% i dont know how many we killed yesterday but it was for sure 300+ and not a single drop in a solid group killing them very fast

A Feralas group and I were talking about this, keep the drop rate if they want to but make it raid-wide. As it stands, the grind for this bottleneck is extremely toxic, with people even trying to get other players killed on purpose to take their tags. Making the drop raid-wide fixes a lot of problems, with the next one being the tenderloins. Unfortunately, there is no good solution there that wouldn’t simply break the farm of them outside of reducing the amount you need.

100%. They increased so many things about Classic to be current day SoD, why wouldnt they change it to a group drop or increase the drop rate. These areas are heavily congested and there’s a lot of people giving their best shot to get these.
Disagree!!! We did the bug grind, and now everyone has had it easy. We’re still out here farming hinterlands and there’s a slew of people that barely had to do anything trying to get the same drop we’ve been trying for. They need to change it all or change none of it. They created a HUGE bottleneck that has benefited those that waited and took the easy route, while the rest of us that did it the hard way are now fighting for tags more than we would have been.
Which making it the following would help you then
-Release World Dragons on Thursday with 100% chance
-Up drop rate
-Shared Drop
Any combo of the above. You put in the work you deserve your drop.
