The Nightborne look like Crap

Does anyone else notice they look kind of blocky and wooden? They have next to no facial animations compared to the likes of pandas and tauren.

Yeah they look a little stiff maybe. I haven’t seen too many people playing them.

In my opinion they’re very unrefined and rough, like an early version of the model that was used for testing rather than a finished product.

Compare it with the other allied races, specifically Vulpera, Kul Tirans, Zandalari, etc. They look like bonafide races in this game, and then you have Nightborne. Very stony facial animations, and rigid body textures. Look at female Nightborne in their heritage armor and be horrified.

My Nightborne are great. They have great voice lines, sure their idle standing looks a bit odd. But they’re just pretty much Night Elves with their animations. I think the main issue with female nightborne is that their faces are so limited.

You have six options. One through five looks older, wrinkles. Ok, I understand they’re 10,000+ years old. But so is Tyrande and she doesn’t have those wrinkles. So give them more youthful faces. With hair… they have limited options, like three or four. Why not share some of the Night Elf hairstyles?

The males are a completely different story. They look like something you’d see from an old vampire film. They look so evil and their chin is too high up. They remind me also of count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Yeah I dont think they got lazy.
I just think they ran out of time and have too much pride to admit it and actually fix them

Player Nightborne are garbage and always will be.

Proper changes coming in 2030

I was pretty disappointed with them as well. They look terrible in anything other than robes.

I like the Nightborne. They remind me of EQ dark elves. They are actually one of my favorite allied races and I really like the added character customization options for them coming with the pre-patch. There isn’t a lot for them, but they do look better, even though I liked them before.

Playing around on the PTR, I was pretty impressed with all the new character customization options coming for all the races. They did a great job.

Nightborne need a lot of help in the customization options and general character model categories. If this toon wears anything other than a robe, his skinny, undefined toothpick legs become a major point of contention.

i really enjoy female nighborne. Especially in plate, amazing posture

Not only are we more attractive than whatever unsightly goat thing you are, but we have class, wealth, and most importantly, wine.

They are just night elves with different hair options.

which is what is so bad about them.
They’re not meant to be night elves.

pretty sure NB is the least polished allied race ever released. Copy paste of the NE with uglier fewer faces and skin tones. Wish they could create an actual NB model, similar to the nps one

Why are the void elves getting so much attention from Blizzard while nightborne don’t seem to be getting any?

It’s even more funny at how bad they look when you realize the alliance basically got high elves due to the cosmetics in SL in exchange.

NB are minority, this is why.

Because High Elf fans spent the last 2 years screaming non stop about wanting them playable. So Blizzard caved and gave Void Elves skin tones to look like them.

Nightborne fans have been kind and respectful. Sadly Blizzard does not often listen to that.

You don’t even need to compare it to allied races.

Do a direct comparison with the Nighborne NPCs in Legion. The NPCs walking around Suramar looks ages better.

This. I submit myself as Exhibit A. I initially thought rolling a male nightborne as a plate class would help balance out the proportions, but I just look like I’m about to snap in half at the waist.
