I was curious about what’s next for wow after dragonflight, so I asked ChatGPT what the next expansion was. After it told me that it was going to be another Shadowlands (called “The Shadowlands: The Afterlife Unleashed”), I clarified and it gave me better info.
So I’m proud to be the first to leak the next expansion. You saw it here first:
I apologize for the oversight. Here is a brand new expansion for World of Warcraft:
“The Frozen Tundra: Rise of the Iceborn”
In this expansion, players will travel to the frigid realm of the Frozen Tundra, a land of ice and snow where the ancient Iceborn have awoken from their long slumber. The Iceborn, a race of powerful elemental beings, seek to reclaim their dominance over the land and have begun a campaign of conquest against the other races of Azeroth.
As players explore the Frozen Tundra, they will encounter new races of creatures, including the Iceborn themselves, as well as the fierce Yetis, the cunning Icebeasts, and the treacherous Frostborn. Each of these factions has their own goals and motivations, and players will have to choose which side to align with as they seek to stop the Iceborn from taking over Azeroth.
The expansion will also introduce a new level cap of 85, as well as new zones, dungeons, raids, and quests to explore. Players will also be able to undertake new activities such as harnessing the power of frost magic, and crafting armor and weapons imbued with the essence of ice.
Finally, the expansion will also introduce a new game mode called “The Frostfall,” a series of challenges that will test the mettle of even the most seasoned adventurers. Can you survive the dangers of the Frozen Tundra and stop the Iceborn from taking over Azeroth?
Looks like they’re adding Frost magic to the game. Good news, mages.

It’s the Frozen Tundra. It’s entirely different than Northrend.
I mean, if you add solo shuffle with decent MMR and no premades, then I’m in.
If I ask ChatGPT now, we it give me another answer?
It’s pretty mercurial, so probably. You’ll need to be very specific about the question also.
So what you’re saying is… it lied to u
The wow dev process is messy, what can I say?
This is probably how the next expansion will be determined. Everyone on the WOW team submits a request. Then, they just vote on the best ones.

Certainly! Here is another expansion for World of Warcraft:
“The Abyssal Depths: The Rise of the Kraken”
In this expansion, players will journey to the deep and dark realm of the Abyssal Depths, home to the ancient and powerful Kraken. For centuries, the Kraken has slumbered beneath the waves, but now it has awoken and is causing chaos throughout the oceans of Azeroth.
As players explore the Abyssal Depths, they will encounter new races of sea creatures, including the mighty Kraken and its minions, as well as the enigmatic Naga, the ferocious Sea Giants, and the sly Murlocs. Each of these factions has their own goals and motivations, and players will have to choose which side to align with as they seek to stop the Kraken from taking over the oceans.
The expansion will also introduce a new level cap of 90, as well as new underwater zones, dungeons, raids, and quests to explore. Players will also be able to undertake new activities such as sailing their own ships, and crafting armor and weapons imbued with the power of the sea.
Finally, the expansion will also introduce a new game mode called “The Tidal War,” a massive conflict between the forces of the Kraken and the other races of Azeroth. Can you survive the dangers of the Abyssal Depths and stop the Kraken from taking over the oceans?
Dust off those underwater mounts. It’s back to Cataclysm.

If I recall it’s the blue portal that takes us to inland. Which is completely different from that green portal that takes us to outland.
I am disappointed that this thread has no mention of Nagrand, the best WoW zone ever!!!
And phase 8, and phase 9, and phase 10…
…look, there was a lot of rep grinding in classic.
The story in Dragonflight has been leading us with clues to Sylvanus returning with her Simp Lord Nathanos as the main villain for the next expansion.
Move over Steve Danuser, ChatGPT is gunning for your job

Next WoW expansion should have flying on day 1 period. It should play like Vanilla,Burning Crusade, and Wrath, but have all the modern version has except Mythic Dungeons. Remove that feature from WOW and then take the resources and put it into Raiding. You have Dungeons, Heroic Dungeons, 10-man and 25 man Raids and Heroic 10 and 25 man Raids only. Tier Sets make a full return to the game and talents need to be improved upon from Dragon Riding expansion. Quests,Quests, and more quests that have great story lines. Epic Quests that take a long time to complete and end with gear pieces just under Raid quality for Solo players so they have an avenue to eran their own sets. PVP needs to be a lot like it was in MOP nuff’ said. In the end More content and more zones than what have been given the last few expansions. It is time for a Mega continent IMO:P
