A third (ranged bow and fel magic DPS) demon hunter spec.
Every class can now mog the next armor type up as well (Cloth can also mog leather, leather can mog mail, mail can mog plate, and plate can mog cloth. Last one seems kinda odd, but paladins are known to wear robes so it’s not that far off)
A more enjoyable leveling experience, even if it means new leveling zones. I can’t see why anyone would want to stick with this game if they just started now, and without more new players the game population will continue to fall, no matter how good it might be.
More fun stuff from all professions, pets, mounts, mogging items, etc.
More fun cosmetic glyphs so inscription has a reason to exist again.
A revamped and completed Orgimmar. Org has been in a state of being rebuilt since freakin Cata. Meanwhile, any damage to Stormwind is quickly cleaned up.
Undead themed expansion… “Return of the Lich King” or something like that. Necromancers as a new ranged class, removal of AP, and the return of reforging and Justice Points to purchase Loot
The next expansion? Pretty much the opposite of everything in BFA.
However, the main thing I’d like to add is that I will not be preordering it. BFA cured me of preordering for shinies really fast. If that expac isn’t fundamentally different in almost every aspect from BFA right at the start (conceptually, not normal expac-release issues) I’ll pass.
Bring back Arthas to fight off Sylvanas/Bolvar/whatever. Wrath 2.0. Redemption arc done right, not have him end up stuck on some rando planet forever after.
Affliction return to at least the way it was in WoD, but I’d prefer MoP’s design for Affliction.
Switch Survival’s and Beast Mastery’s roles around BM should be the Melee spec, while SV should return to being ranged.
More engaging world content, we need something more than WQs.
If they’re gonna continue Allied Races in the future; alternate ways of unlocking them outside of “do world quests for a small amount of rep per day everyday.” Because WQs have gotten stale.
Better looking end game armor. Transmog is a nice feature, but it’s also no substitute for actually giving a damn about good looking gear. Give us a reason to use the latest “tier” instead of thinking, “well this is good enough, if people don’t like it, they’ll just transmog over it.”
Pathfinder implements flight at the start of the next point release (x.1.0), and implement a new pathfinder achievement for new areas implemented in subsequent updates (if x.2 implements a new area, pathfinder pt2 unlocks flight for that new area), and so forth. No more waiting til around half-way through the expansion (or implementing an area that will not have or need flight) before flight implementation in the major areas of the new expansion.
I want the next expansion to basically be focused on overhauling the game.
Make the entire world reflect current events instead of being a bizarre mishmash of time periods. The base game world at the very least, the Cataclysm has been over for going on a decade, I doubt anyone is going to miss 10 year old content.
Remove all transmog restrictions. There’s no reason for any of them to be implemented. I want to be able to RP from level 1 as an Alliance Footman/Horde Grunt but can’t until late-mid game, this sucks. Also, implement all mogs not implemented; what’s the point of making models, especially awesome ones like the Gilnean starter sets, only to use them for 5 minutes?
Professions, these need to be overhauled and not see continued simplification.
Auction House UI; needs updates since right now it’s tedious to use.
Remake all the low rez gear to current standards; they are low poly and look horrible, a lot of them would look amazing with updates.
What I think would be good is an option such as you see in places like Darkshore and Silithus, where you can switch between time settings. Obviously when you are levelling you are, in effect, back in time and playing through the areas as it was then. But it would be good to be able to switch zones to reflect the time for the level your character is in for example, or put zones back the way they were at the start of an expansion (such as the area in Pandaria before Garrosh wrecked it and Thousand Island before Deathwing did the same). Some form of choice for zones would be good. Not sure if they could do it but it would make the world seem more sensible.
I agree. There are lots of creative options that could be implemented to make professions fun again - they managed it in MoP after all.
