as a windwalker monk, how am I supposed to trigger these? I’m on my 78 monk right now, leveling up, and my crackling jade lightning isn’t triggering them. New dumbest mechanic ever? On my warrior a throw seemed to trigger, on my druid moonfire was doing it, but what option do I have now? Am I missing something obvious?
Ok, now this is something that would actually start to convince me that Blizz has forgotten monks exist.
I actually had the same issue on my monk I had to walk into the webs unfortunately
I hate these things. And most of the classes I’ve played have manifold ways to deal with them.
More change for the sake of change.
I even tried using talented single target jadefire stomp… didn’t work either. Between that and crackling I got the spreader down to like 40% and said screw it.
If only there was a delver’s journal, like how there’s a dungeon journal and a raid journal.
Can confirm. I used cracking jade lightning on one till the thing had 1 health and still couldn’t trigger it. Every other class I have can use any ranged damage, and it triggers immediately.
How can Monks be real if our eyes aren’t real?
haven’t seen whatever that is but my WW is my favorite dps alt so… yay I got something “fun” to look forward to…
Crackling jade doesn’t work, not even if it is empowered (MW). Chi burst works.
The old web/sporebit mechanics were superior.
That they were
I wouldn’t mind the spreader if it was for specific stories but ugh. They also made the flamethrower story worse btw. They replaced the webs with eggs and these eggs respawn for some reason…
The thought didn’t even cross my mind that monks were the odd one out. I’ve just been running into them and keg smashing thinking it’s a dumb mechanic lmao.
Once I clear a mob group, my voidwalker, without being commanded to attack, will decide to run halfway back across the delve to attack a previous Web Spreader. I have to keep toggling him to passive so he won’t run off and leave me stuck flagged “in combat” and then remember to set him back to assist when I get to the next mobs.
Such a frustrating change.
Haven’t seen these web spreaders yet, but my monk here is who I take through delves, so I guess I’ll see what this is all about tomorrow.
I can say for sure I don’t like some of the new changes in the delves, I feel like I’m fighting weird, and Brann is acting weird too, and he’s been shooting at things half way across the room that I haven’t engaged yet, making the fight worse.
Made me laugh out loud!
for you!
I think CJL not working on them should be considered a bug.
Whether or not it will be fixed is the question.
There’s still delve bugs from release that haven’t been fixed yet like Brann not re-joining the party correctly if you die (unless you die again).
I think it is how it is damaged.
Disintegrate does not break them but living flame breaks them instantly. I think the source of damage has to be a direct hit, not a DoT or channeled ability.
While i agree (in that it should be fixed/changed) CJL and a few other abilities have this situation of not “breaking” things that are broken by damage.
Like someone trying to capture a point in a Battleground, CJL doesn’t interrupt the channel to capture the flag on those.
It’s always been like that as far as I’m aware.
I really hate they added this to today’s story in Dread Pit and I play a rogue.
On the flipside, it does add a bit more to do on the final boss which is pretty nice.
I hate these things so much, my pet keeps running back to the ones back at the start of the dungeon unless i keep them on passive and manually direct them to attack my current kills.
