i think and i may be wrong on that, it also require to kill mawrats for example, it took me around 7-9 mins on a lvl 200 rogue, with no legendary for the spec i was playing, to clear each floor of the layer 9 and still got 4 gems, as i said earlier, if you just want to go at your own pace, nothing is wrong with it and as you will progress with tower knowledge and unlock more perks, your run will improve and there will come a time when you will be able to get on new layers without having to stress about it

We’ve killed EVERYTHING in sight - mawrats, enemies, stealthed rares, vases, clicked on the souls, did the side quests, etc. And still can’t get 4 gems.
