This corrupted gear… why couldn’t they just remove the system for good? Reward people for harder difficulty = good. This system/RNG stuff = bad.
Between this new gear and the dragon ball Z style cinematic, my hopes and excitement for 8.3 (loved the old god/void lords in the lore…) have diminished and I’m likely just gonna sit this one out until 9.0

If people would change their perspective of titanforging and stop being so negative, they’d enjoy the game way more.

you are right when I cant trade a piece of gear to a friend who really wants it because it forged 5 ilvls higher than what I already have its my perception that is the problem

The new trading rules are the real problem and should NEVER have been introduced.
The entire expansion is balanced around average ilvls for people who do different types of content. Simply removing higher ilvl gear without adjusting the baseline would mess that up.
They don’t fix things mid expansion. They just add layers of complexity.
I agree the trading rules are dumb but so are massive forges. In season 1 I got a 380 cape off the first lions roar I killed and didn’t get another cape upgrade until 8.2

Sure, but the problem is we don’t know exactly what it takes to “purify” it. It goes against their idea of being able to use an upgrade right when you get it.
It could be an insane grind.
So people cant be angry that a system that has been in the game to very bad reviews dude to its amount of RNG is now getting more RNG?
It isnt so much about the gear itself that worries me its the fact that people are crying out against RNG and blizz is adding more.
Also “only 1 patch” how long are we expecting this patch to last? 6 months plus I would imagine. yea lets just let gearing be scuffed for over half a year and not say anything

Because someone doing LFR or WQ’s has no business receiving a piece of mythic level gear. However, the valor upgrade system would be fine since you have actual control over your upgrades, and, you actually put effort into them.
You can remove corruption easily at the heart forge. Man, this is why I dont like datamining cause everyone acts like Chicken Little amplifying things before they even try the system.
