The new patch

Spoilers will be in this post if you haven’t finished what’s currently available.

My thoughts on this patch since I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about it. One of the biggest gripes is it feels small… I thought so too until my partner and I switched to ground mounts to enjoy it. Every zone feels small with dynamic flying. They can’t scale EVERYTHING with zoom-zoom-zoom in mind.

The skybox for the zone is AMAZING. Absolutely love the cosmic star motif with galaxies in the background. The manaforges definitely have updated visuals for the mana flowing into them compared to what we saw in Netherstorm. And I absolutely jive with the music!

The story is alright. Not the best, but definitely the best I’ve seen thus far this expansion. It still doesn’t make too much sense to me for us to team up with Xalatath. Like, we’ve seen this before. She teams up with us for a period, then DOUBLECROSS! “You fools! I was working for myself the whole time! Now suffer mortals!”

Yeah… None of us saw that coming…

That being said, does anyone think K’aresh’s World soul is actually still somewhat intact? Or is it just classic Xal making people feel what she knows they want for her own ends? I’m inclined for the latter. K’aresh is dead and she’s playing on the Oracles wants.

My only major criticism is in the world quests… Some WQ need the spawn rate for things to be greatly increased. Doing the one where you have to crate lost creatures while contending with a swarm of players (who have every right to be farming the same WQ) can last for a LONG time even though you only have to crate 8. If the spawn rate was increased it would let people be on their way faster and not create a traffic jam.

Hey, welcome to the club, mate. I’ve been walking since day 1 of TWW, and it’s been infinitely more entertaining. Makes the world feel a lot bigger.

At first I thought the ecodomes were pitifully small compared to the ones in Netherstorm, but the ground mounts let me actually experience their true size. I’m glad you are enjoying holding it as well!
