So yesterday I installed the I9 10900k into my new z490 motherboard. It was upgrading from the 7th gen i7. I tell you I got a massive frame rate boost and since World of Warcraft is so CPU heavy I’m just noticing lower load times and less lag in congested areas.
I also tried this processor and some other games and got a massive frame rate boost also.
This processor is a gaming BEAST and I highly suggest it to anyone looking to upgrade. It even outperforms my 3950x computer (in gaming only) sucks having to upgrade your motherboard to but it is what it is.
If you use your computer only for gaming this is a great processor however if you do a lot of project rendering stick with your AMD if you’ve got one. More cores.
Some of the stuff about The Thermals is true however most of it is untrue. Just don’t overclock it to its limits and The Thermals will remain low
