Wait, what? Ion’s comments about fixing the guild permissions were anything but generic. True, they didn’t post anything in this thread, but he definitely discussed our issue in the Q&A (a good half-year ago).

Haven’t been in game for a couple days, so I don’t know what’s going on with the guild permissions, recruiting UI, or pretty much anything. I just decided that, aside from politics, this issue is truly important to me and I can’t let this thread die out from lack of participation.
Ion said they were working on a fix for the permissions. The new recruiting UI was on the PTR. Both these things make me think we should be seeing some progress. I don’t want to wait another year, but I’ll keep on posting even if it does take until a new expansion to get a fix.

Blizzard, I was merely going to type “Please fix the permissions” as usual.
However, I thought of this as I was writing that:
I don’t know what’s going on with permissions either (beyond “We’re working on it, please give us yet more feedback”
Well Ion, the feedback had been given until it hurts!
How about an update on your progress for all these patient folks who’ve been waiting (as well as “feedbacking” you) for over a year now.
How’s that fix coming along?

Lets speak for real here.
It seems to many on this thread that we’re being ignored.
That may or may not be true, but I want to believe the latter.
Zany, isn’t it? That we’ve kept this going for so long?
Conversely, we’d like to just stop and logon to discover it’s been fixed.
Heck, it’s just draining keeping this hope alive.
Under normal circumstances, I’d just joke and move on.
Not for this though, it’s too important.
Guilds, and not just mine, are vital.
For the time being, I’ll still be here.

I have been very ill the last several days. I’ve spent most of my days asleep. I had a dream that the permissions were fixed. It was so real! I never dream about WoW, but here I was logging in to check, and the permissions were all what they used to be.
When I woke up, the permissions were still a mess and I was still sick. I expect I’ll get better one day soon (though it doesn’t feel like it now). Dare I expect the same of the permissions?

I’m lucky enough to not be sick, but I’ve been adjusting to these new glasses. My first pair of bifocals. Because I am old. 
Blizz if you can fix terrible nearsightedness and now trouble seeing things right in front of your face at the same time, at the same time as you fix the permissions, that’d be cool.
I’ve been having the worst year medically so I feel your pain. And at least your dreams are cool. I dreamed about being stuck in a russian roulette game with my ex * shudders *.

BTW, fix the permissions. I heard it will lead to more money from China.
So I decided to hop onto the Minecraft bandwagon for a while and be a hippie druid in a magic forest living in a mushroom. (I mean, let’s be real, I binged too much Classic and was kinda burnt out on WoW.)
And I come back to no permissions, no recruitment tool at all (what’s going on with the new one?! And the old one?? I’m so confused now.), Hong Kong’s existence being offensive, and Blizzard ummmm…handling “cultural differences” with the speed of a sloth and the grace of a drunk hippo, and what’s this in a Bellular video about cancelling post match interviews entirely? sigh Blizzard, we’ve talked about this…your PR is in the “needs improvement” category.
Also “needing improvment” is guilds. Ugh. I gotta be honest, guys. I’m starting to consider where the line is. When is it not worth it to me anymore? When is too long to wait? And what issues are too important to let slide? What misdeeds should be met with a hammer, and what misdeeds should be met with a scalpel?

I have some introspecting to do.
So, I’m feeling less like undead and slightly more human. Seems like WoW is sliding the other way. Well, maybe not WoW so much, but Blizzard’s handling of just about everything is, as Takoda said, on the “needs improvement” side.
Seriously, have they no idea what they’re supposed to be doing? Yeah, our issue is minor compared to all the feathers that have been sluicing through the fan lately, but it’s also a clear symptom of a much larger problem.
Seems like way too many non-gaming corporate types are running the show, and they have no idea what their company’s business is.
I haven’t logged in to check permissions yet. I know what I’ll find, but I’ll do my daily check anyway. Then I’ll see if anyone responded to my advert on the old recruitment tab. I figure that’s a completely lost cause (what guildless player even knows how to bring up that thing any more?), but wouldn’t it be ironic if I got an answer there before Blizz does anything for us here?

Venjin, I hope your medical saga straightens out. Having a respiratory illness for a week or so isn’t fun, but it’s not like dealing with something chronic. Ugh. Seriously hope if you can’t get completely well, you at least get to where you feel like it.

Well, did my daily check of permissions. No changes (of course). No recruitment available in our new, wondrous guild UI. No bites on my advert in the old UI.
Just another day being ignored by Blizz.
For those asking or voicing concern about the guild recruitment, it’s still there, they just removed the button (like seriously blizz, that’s just embarrassing and a direct punch in the throat to guilds and GM’s). Type /gf and it will pull up guild recruitment stuff again.
Also, Blizz, please revert guild permissions! These new ones SUCK BALLS!
