I just basically fly to the furthest spot on the map and kill npcs and loot until I meet someone and die. I’m just not sure why I can’t do any damage to anyone. I’m sure it’s cause I’m probably the worst pvp player in the history of wows so I guess that’s probably the reason. I need to “git good” I guess.

Damage profile doesn’t feel good at all unless you get lucky with fire whirl or something. Not just you.

Are you attacking them? Genuine question. We don’t have auto attack, so you have to keep hitting them.

I like when someone charges me with fire whirl and I drop the root traps on them then the void nova and almost 1 shot them.

I don’t do much damage either.
I’ve never been good at PvP which is a-ok with me. Since I lack coordination, my strategy is to just PvE until somebody comes and squishes me. I usually manage to survive until there are about 10 players left and the ring is too small to avoid others. I average about 350-450 points per round this way. XD
I found this too. I used to be half decent at pvp until I stopped playing it.
But when I encounter another player in this mode, I die SO fast. They 2 shot me and my abilities barely take any health away from them. Even if I have an epic upgrade.
Everyone also seems to have roots and stuns. I found one chain ability one time.
Are you upgrading the spells you pick up?
I didn’t realize at the beginning that you could do that.
Fire whirl is the best ability for solos, but void bomb does massive damage and if you’re playing duos and your partner can control players so you can land it you can do massive damage. Epic void bomb almost 1-shots in a massive radius - a well timed stun into a void bomb can clean up an enemy team.
There are a few other abilities that can do big danage, epic searing axe, actually the epic fish is not half bad. Basically if it’s a close range ability it can do huge damage if you can land it.
It’s just really hard to land stuff in solos. And fire whirl can punish if you land a stun but is also good on its own which is what puts it so far ahead.

I’m using my regular attacks and my spells I pick up. I’ll be a lvl 4 or 5 by the time I meet someone and I just get blew up. It just seems I’m not donig anthing to anyone. I’m killing NPCs just fine.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that my attacks don’t seem to be interrupting other players’ heal right away, and yet when I’m trying to heal it gets interrupted immediately. Maybe I’m not actually hitting them…

yea the problem is im playing solo. nigh impossible to land a void bomb or hell even a close range ability with a charge up. All i have to do with fire whirl is press W.
Your success or failure is 100% entire based on the abilities you get. If you get fish? You lose. Try again. If you mana shot, fire whirl and quaking leap, grats on your win.
Damage is based on level, you learn that from levelling 20 years ago in wow.
When you level up, you get stronger.
It’s really not a big deal to me. The game mode gives me something else to do. I just wanted to make a post and see if anyone else was having the same issues. I’m glad to have some new pets to work towards.
for anyone having issues. your goal every single game is to try to get to at least level 6 as fast as you can, kill all npcs you can see and avoid pvp if you can. pvp is only worth doing in the middle to end game. doing it in the start is actually screwing you over.
also zoom out your camera.
I’m still trying to figure out how within 10 seconds of getting to the ground, people are level 3 with spells. It’s amazing, and totally skill based, lol.
Just let me have my hidey hole where I can farm in peace.
