The New Expansion Comes With A Green Dragon Mount

Hey guys,

So according to wowhead, the datamine suggests that one of the expansion versions (deluxe and above) may come with a green dragon mount:

"The mount could possibly be a hint for the next expansion. The mount is associated with 9fx_drakemountemerald_buff_4219045 , suggesting that it is likely a Green Dragon mount."

" The asset for this mount is also very large, being a total of 8.9MB. In comparison, Shadowlands’ Deluxe Edition mount, is only 2.7MB large. This size means it will likely have a higher definition from other mounts, or more effects attached to it. The included pet is also fairly large, being 5.5MB itself.

On top of that, there are spell effects textures linked to this new mount that aren’t encrypted, all looking very Green Dragon-esque:"

When I first heard about the Dragon Isles I thought it was a joke. Looks like it might be real.

Or it’s a fake red herring just to distract us until they reveal the true deluxe mount, the mighty platypus!

My biggest letdown was raven lord…because it is a ground mount. There is cool lore why it’s a ground mount but still.

So a dragon themed expansion is a safe guess? I’m down with that. I’m gonna play WOW regardless of what theme it is but dragons get me extra excited. Especially if the whole expansion takes place on Azeroth, whether it be old zones or a new continent.

Honestly that’s probably most likely given direct tie ins through shadowlands. More lore for Danuser to butcher. The Freer was behind Elune and the dream all along. He was the original choser of what fetus went where and now he uses his delightful magic of freedom to free everyone! The horror!
