Doesn’t it force you to install Overwolf? That’s what causes all the slowness OP is talking about anyway.
If there’s a way to get it without Overwolf please tell me, I’ll love you forever.

Bruh why is it WoW only guess no more Minecraft mods for me if I want to also have WoW addons in a reasonable time frame.
Because the WoW users were the ones who complained about it the loudest.
I just leaded up Curseforge to see if anything had an update.
The app loaded in about 5 seconds.
No problems here.
The Twitch app was much more of a bloated mess than the CurseForge standalone app.
Not when you use 70+.
Same for me. The only minor annoyance is that I run a VPN and I have to turn it off for a minute or so for the CurseForge app to lode and update my addons.
downloading them manually takes me less than 10 seconds. your pc must be either loaded with viruses or really old if downloading off a web browser is slow for you.
Then you have no add-ons.
It takes more than 10 seconds to get to the release page on github for a single add-on anyway.
The addon only version is still in Alpha development so I guess I wouldn’t be surprised about it having bugs, etc
I miss WoWUp why’d they have to get greedy with the API
i only got like 4 addons i use so i manually do everything and its fun its like cleaning out a closet
That’s not even the problem, since WoWUp can connect to Wowinterface and the new WoWUp Hub.
The problem is some big addons decided to completely shun WoWUp, stop releasing to WoWInterface and go out of their way to break their release through the client (looking at you BigWigs!).
I guess those bribes Overwolf paid Addon devs are working.
Agreed. But in the end it’s their API and they can control it as they see fit.
I really don’t blame AddOn Authors for using a hosting site where they get paid.
I do, when the hosting site is using it as a user data laundering scheme and the addon devs are basically participating in it with their hostile attitude.
WoWUp wasn’t even against paying devs, they set up the same ads. It’s just I trust more an open source passion project than a faceless corporation who’s proven to be dishonest in the past.
That I agree on 100% and it’s why I miss WoWUp.
I’ve been experiencing incredible improvements in the app over recent days! It’s performing incredibly well for me now!
Are you still having trouble or is it better for you too?
Ok, wait not just me lol…NOICE!!
but yes in general, I have to open it 2-4 times…then the refresh is like 5 mins at best. I thought it was bc my computer is trash. Nice to hear others had been struggling
Did cursefordge move out of beta tho? Every time I opened the app, the side said beta…maybe that’s why it’s going better for some of us?
