If its a financial success, doesn’t that mean it’s not functionally a failure?
Also many agree that the mailbox was the selling point over the ah.
We don’t have the numbers to prove this. We also can’t define xpac sales was a financial success or not because many buy regardless. Then some quit shortly after.
Where as we can clearly see the bruto WAS with how many we can see ride them and use them on the daily.
Except by giving your financial take, you are opening yourself to criticism then almost instantly saying you don’t care about the financial angle because its not what op was talking about.
These 2 points conflict.
Thats what my point was.
You started off by being disengenuous. You call it an absurd price, then say they know it but don’t want to admit it.
How to mock someones spending habits then say to not talk about spending habits.
No, because, there’s always the possibility it could have sold more had it offered something new. It’s just a reskin of a pre-existing mount, so it’s not offering anything new in that regard, which is kind of what OP was talking about. It’s not new, and because of that, it’s a failure.
It was literally the best-selling expansion pack at the time (and I believe to this day still) and the best-selling PC game for a launch day before it was beat out by Cyberpunk, so unless Blizzard was lying, we do know it was a financial success at launch.
It’s only been two weeks. Give it another two months. I’m sure that number will dwindle considerably.
Their spending habits were part of a conversation long before I made that comment because they made it part of the conversation. That was the point I was making: If you don’t want them to be part of the conversation, then you shouldn’t make them part of the conversation. I’m not sure what exactly you’re not following, so let me go ahead and break it down for you:
Someone critiques the anniversary mount, and then someone else comes in and tries to denigrate said person for critiques by gloating about their purchase of the mount.
Up until they gloat about their purchase, I don’t care whether or not they bought it. But they made it part of the conversation, so it’s fair game, in my view. Which is why I made this comment:
Those two comments don’t conflict, you just don’t seem to have followed the order of events that spurred them and/or took them out of context to make me look worse. If people aren’t going to afford others any amount of respect and are actively choosing to belittle them instead, then they are not owed the respect they think they deserve.
Airstream has been using the same basic shell design for decades.
its literally a selling point lolol
Its one of the most favored and well liked campers on the market.
Overly expensive and well worth the price.
I have a better one.
someone comes in here tossing a fit about a $90 mount and when told…“dont buy it then”…said person starts insulting and attacking those who did buy it…
please dont make me post quote again …loll
Same…if youre gonna whine about 90 bucks as a hobbyist and dont want to be scrutinized, then perhaps you should stop making your purchasing habits part of the discussion.
Mounts are permanent. And the sale ends in January. So idk where you were going with this.
Every xpac could be considered “best selling” at the time. We don’t have the data to back this up.
Your 2nd one however we can easily disprove.
Sl was when wow was at its lowest ever active subs.
Which means less xpac sales in general. As opposed to… wrath, when wow had the most subs. Ever.
So even without current metrics, saying sl was the best selling “ever” is factually false.
Launch day as well. Especially compared to the success of DF and TWW so far.
And TWW metrics are skewed by early access.
But if you think that point is frivolous or irrelevant, why would you join in then say you don’t agree? Lol
Just read the above.
Its pretty obvious where this is going, but for you to admit that would be admitting your hypocritical arguments.
Exactly
so when YOU all come in here insulting those who purchased a $90 mount, then you are owed no respect and will be treated disrespectfully.
shall I post quotes again?
its HILARIOUS how you all only side YOUR side of tis and dont want to see all the personal attacks YOUR side has made in here since day one
yes…
We’ve been railing on about a new AH mount since the last one was taken off the vendor.
EVERYONE in these threads know that fact…even if theyre pretending not to.
My point was that your measure of success is because you’re seeing it around everywhere. You will see it being used less and less as time goes on. It’s just the hot new thing right now and you’re witnessing the phase in which people are swept up in it.
No, because the record was held by Cataclysm until Legion, and then Legion until Shadowlands.
So no, not really.
Conversely, DF sold less than SL, but most people agree that DF did a lot right and was a success in that regard.
Point being: Financial success doesn’t really mean much, and that was the point OP was trying to bring home before everyone ran away with the title.
I’m not sure what point it is you’re trying to make. You can clarify for me if you’d like, but I feel as though my points are pretty clear and you’re just misinterpreting and/or skewing them.
I think the problem with the old one is it would be dirty to bring it back for anything less than the original 5M gold price…well, not for me, but I can see it ticking off those who bought it if its any less.
and if you have a 5 million gold AH mount with no mailbox…or a 1.5 million AH mount WITH a mailbox, the choice is pretty obvious given we have numerous Vender mounts anyway.
I dont know if many would even buy the old Bruto at that price. maybe a handful might.
