Several points: the mailbox is a good add because when i need to buy stuff way away from the auction house, i’m also way away from a mailbox to pick it up. I didn’t decide to buy this mountt, however I’m blessed to have a friend w/tons of gold and he bought it for me. It has been so useful, that I should have bought it any way. Personally, I wasn’t going to buy it - but I’m really happy I was gifted it

I didn’t over pay for anything, I would have paid even $100 for it if that happen to be the price. I also pay for the highest price package each xpac for Diablo and WoW both. Because I for one want what they offer inside them. Same for this mount, I wanted it, thus I paid what they asked for it. I am happy with it. I have no problem with the pricing of it.
You have the issue about the price, hardly anyone else even cares. I don’t know why you keep beating this dead horse like we are all so distraught about paying $90 in cash or in gold for a mount we all wanted.

Like, I don’t know, man. When I make an expensive purchase, I don’t spend my time attempting to justify to everyone around me why I wanted to, nor do I spend my time pushing those people down and labeling them as poor or jealous just because they’re critical of how expensive it is.
I upgraded my PC two weeks ago. I spent a lot of money on those parts, particularly in the CPU area with a Ryzen 9 9900x that many people have proclaimed as being overpriced for what you get out of it. Two years ago, I bought a 3080 for $1000 - an area I probably definitely overpaid in because it was still pandemic prices and because the 3080 is known for not being a standout 30 series GPU.
You wanna know what I didn’t do? Run to all of the tech forums to tell everyone why it’s actually okay and assert that they’re just poor and broke. I’m happy with my purchases and I remain happy with my purchases to this day. I am confident enough with my financial decisions that I don’t need the validation from internet strangers. People are entitled to their opinions on the price of something, and I don’t need them to agree with me.
OP didn’t make any sort of commentary on the price of the mount. They were explicitly discussing something else entirely that most of you would have picked up on if you had decided to read a fraction further than the title. Yet here we are, discussing the price again because a bunch of people chose to hijack the thread and proclaim just how financially successful it was and that OP was just jealous they couldn’t afford it.
It’s like, the very definition of insecurity - the lack of any sort of confidence that the price you paid was the correct one, to such a degree that any thread with the most inoffensive critiques are subject to your feelings, even when they aren’t warranted.
As I have repeated time and again and will likely repeat for the foreseeable future: I don’t care if you or if you don’t buy the mount, but if you don’t want your purchasing habits to be the subject of scrutiny, then perhaps you should stop making your purchasing habits part of the discussion.

There’s a huge difference between disagreeing and belittling others. There are several people here on these forums and in this thread alone who disagree with me on this matter, and I have no issue with them disagreeing because they didn’t go out of their way to shut down discourse by making assertions about the opposing side.
OP never disagreed it was a financial success. Something can still be a failure while still being financially successful.
Shadowlands was a financial success at launch, but I don’t think anyone would argue that it was, by any means, a “successful” expansion.
