Just a heads up, there seems to be some talk among the dataminers that the datamined blue eyes might (and I stress might) actually be for Void Elves not blood elves. For consideration, here are the eye files and how some dataminers have begun interpreting them:
Take that entirely with several grains of salt mind you, but it seems that Blizzard may have chucked all the Thalassian elf eye colors into a single bucket. Upon closer inspection you can also see the eye textures are a bit different between the two as well. I guess we’ll have to wait until eye customization is available in alpha/beta to know for certain.
For anyone who wants to remind me that allied races aren’t getting additional customization options at SL release, I will remind you that ALL races (core and allied) are being modified to use the new eye system and its reasonable to expect that allied races will at the very least have a few eye color options, likely using the same options as the parent race they are based upon where possible, which would obviously be problematic for Void Elves and Nightborne (no night warrior eyes for Nightborne or holy light eyes for Void Elves for example).

High elves are exactly the same.
Lets not pretend any different. Alliance just want blood elves. It’s ok, Alliance want and take most of the Horde assets anyway so it’s just a matter of time.

What Horde assets do the Alliance have? We have void elves but you guys have nightborne so it’s a trade.

They actually aren’t, though.
They’re just the same eyes that blood elves have, with different colors.
High Elves don’t have ‘glowy’ eyes, they’re just large blue eyes. You can find a couple around Stormwind and such that don’t have glowing eyes at all.
Example:
nah, people will more likely be dark elves if blizzard states in lore that Helves of the aliance become Velves rather than just look like one
why bother creating void elves in the first place then? your logic does not compute
because Blizzard is just retarded as always and made Void Elves because they didn’t think that it would just end up making everyone angry that’s wanted High Elves since Vanilla WoW, that much is obvious.

This is also why Void Elves cannot be seen as a replacement for High Elves. Void Elves have the full magic glow of the Blood Elves they come from, not the glowless human-like separate iris and sclera.
Believe me when I say. Becareful what you say on here. I got into trouble last year and it wasn’t really good.
