This trinket turns you into the new Nerubian humanoid model during its stat buff and I was watching classes use it with full class animations working with it.
It felt a little frustrating that this can’t be the new race option since it seems easy to shoe-in.
Can only guess they’ve gotten too lazy to make transmogs work for new models considering they didn’t really try with Dracthyr. I’d still consider playing nerub even if it was limited like them though.

IIRC they had a similar trinket in WoD that turned you into an Aarrakoa, both versions I believe (cursed and blessed/upright). Full unique casting and melee animations, sitting, eating/drinking walking and running.
Missed opportunity there for a race that could fit in both factions.

What is a Nerubian humanoid? Is that a spider with people-like traits or a person with spider-like traits?
A Newrubian, if you will.

I wish they could stop adding more races and instead add more customizations to the existing ones.

It could still be option later in the expansion. They’re just the enemies for the first season, so if they were to become playable we’d need to help them defeat the Queen and bring peace back to Ajz’Kahet, and then bring them into the fold.
Allied races are unlocked after a story of us aiding them, they’re never just there because. We’re definitely going to be seeing at least 1 more allied race from TWW.

I’ve got good news for you then, they are and have been updating previous races.
On the beta? I haven’t seen anything new aside from the recent KTs hair dyes
I’d turn on the arachnid filter so you’d all be crab people. Win-win for all involved.

They are adding in the option to make humans look more like half elves.
Temp transformations have lower requirements to be usable than permanent player models.
Ah the pointy ears, fair… Still not enough though. I wonder if they will ever make body shape alternatives (not sliders, premade options).
Also, IMO the males races of Azeroth are mostly ugly and super disproportionate. It would be cool if they work on that.
Hopefully, my guess is we might see another Shadowlands level update soon instead of the drip feed of every other patch a race or two gets an addiction. I would think the body size and hair dye would be the base option, probably see troll beards as a crowd hyper.

Guys, you’re really underestimating the difficulty of opening photoshop, loading in a hair texture and then changing the hue before saving it. Like, you can’t even comprehend this difficult task that takes at least 2 whole minutes. They can’t even consume a hot coffee in this time.
It’s much easier though to generate AI images of fruitbowls.
i hope they eventually get added as a new race tbh. New unique player models like that.
It’s definitely weird. Dracthyr proved that people are okay with relatively limited transmog options. I was sure they were going to give us centaurs after how much they put into the npc models in dragonflight.
Such an easy win too, go through, find some of the new model mobs, release them as new races that can join either faction. Slap some generic customization options on them, and arguably an upgrade from recolors of dwarves/elves/draenei we keep getting.
Nightborne have a lot of animations that work great with druid, and even turn into a manasaber if your in disguise in Suramar. Looks cool!
Its obvious that humanoid nerubians are going to be playable, why else make them humanoid and lame? All they did was demerit their forms and took away what made them great.
They dont even have spider mouths anymore, they are just beetle elves.

Well that at least was sued for the zandalar booking form I think?
After noticing that the “Ascended” Nerubian model can Naruto run and do the ojou-sama laugh, I’m a bit more okay with the idea of them becoming playable.
