So, we know that with the ritual to invoke the power of the Night Warrior the surrounding Elves underwent a change too, and were empowered with their eyes changing in appearance.
We know that from datamined info Shandris told Tyrande and I quote:
Let go of the Black Moon’s rage and embrace the mother’s light once again. I could not bear to lose you to darkness.
So, I assume the change to the Night Warrior, eyes included are temporary changes? Also interesting to note that Elune has a ‘‘darkness’’ to be wary of.
We have absolutely NO data to answer that question. For all, we know all previous Night Warriors died in that state. We’lljust have to see what Tyrande looks like in the next expac. If her dark eyes aren’t gone by then, they most likely never will be.
Another question is if the night warrior is a permanent thing or just temporary. And if temporary, what causes it to end?
I don’t think they will change her model that soon again, so it will either be permanent or the more likely option: They will just kill her off, maybe by some goblin miner or peon.
They could easily change her eyes back and keep her current model, and I think we’ll probably see that change back during whatever arc she has in Shadowlands.
Suspicious yes, but Night Warriors are apparently sane, given they’re playable, so Elune might be shifty but that doesn’t mean the night warriors all are.
How else are they gonna put Shandris in Tyrande’s place as the Nelf Leader now that they’ve ruined her and turned her into an Anduin cheerleader if they don’t slam Tyrande and Elune with the villain bat?
Thanks for the offer but I have to decline, partly because I don’t really use discord and partly because my main goal here is for Blizz to read these (and my) posts and create atleast the slightest chance of the night elves ever getting some positive attention for the first time in the history of WoW.
Well the offer is there if you want to take it. Can always post in both places. The main goal of it is to offer a space for us to take time to break apart the commonly used arguements Horde posters use and construct better responses to them.

There generally is only one at a time since it’s taking of all Elune’s energy to keep Tyrande empowered, and none of the former night warriros are around to give evidence either way. I suspect that none of the previous night warriors had to worry about dying in bed.
Going down dark paths for whatever reason, or by whatever agency, isn’t usually something that ends well.
Again, they’re playable, you can make a Night Elf with Night Warrior eyes, no way to do that other than being a Night Warrior as far as we’ve seen, and given that you have to do the scenario to unlock the eyes, it appears that it’s your Night Elf following Tyrande’s example there.

That doesn’t neccessarily hold true. The Night Warrior Ritual was one of those super secret kept under heavy lock and key deals. For all we know the NIght Warrior is a one-way process and Shandris is probably ignorant of the details.
Not sure why this makes Elune suspicious… She is a Goddess of Balance. The two faces of Elune is not new lore and Elune has never been painted to be a pacifist. She has always been both compassionate and savage, like a wild momma bear. Just because something is beautiful doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous. Just because something is dangerous doesn’t mean it’s evil…
