If you don’t try to get them off me, that’s an intentional misplay with the explicit goal of making the run worse. Note I said try, not succeed. The difference is that one is aimed at doing your best to make the run smooth, while the other is actively sabotaging the run.
Just like how it’s always been the case that tanks pull as much as the group can handle?
It should if you want it to stop happening. The options are either to pull at a faster pace yourself or ask other people to stop pulling.
It is incredibly entitled to expect other people to play “your way” by default when they enter a dungeon. No, they’re gonna play “their way” and if you want them to change that, you ask them nicely.
Man, please… if the tank is unsure about what he can handle in combination with their active mitigation, he shouldn’t pull 5 packs… You don’t get to decide that for them, because ‘‘the group’’ will also get annoyed if they dies.
This is not M+ we’re talking about, but random LFG dungeons.
But why are you the one to decide how they do this? Are you just refusing to understand how stressful that can be for someone? Or do you just don’t care?
PuGs can be absolutely brutal as there are a lot of keyboard warriors out there, if you make a mistake, they will flame you… or even kick you.
Overly impatience of others isn’t something that should be the responsibility of someone else, especially since there is no other way to practice tanking (or healing).
I honestly think some self-reflection is required for the people who can’t wait for someone to figure it out but have to be told to ‘‘please don’t pull this for me’’.
Tradu has made some excellent points to counter your view points towards this whole conversation. The context in which they have used is inclusive and complete in regards to explaining themselves.
Whats the point in trying to tell them they don’t understand or care. That’s uncalled for and somewhat petty. Everything they have said in this thread, while replying to you has been informative and correct. At the very least to some degree for many people that play this game. They aren’t 100% right or wrong.
…guys, all I wanted to do was shine the spotlight on leveling dungeons and new players.
More specifically, how new players are scared away from tanking and healing due to veteran players forgetting that, hey, we literally have years’ worth of experience.
That makes a HUGE difference in how we play WoW.
And new players need to be given a fair chance to learn how to play those roles and how to effectively complete an instance.
I didn’t tell them, I asked them But it’s cool to call me petty. You can call them excellent, but it’s all mute if you ignore how new players feel. I don’t they were excellent or fair but I don’t really have to repeat what I’ve said in other comments.
