The Nathrezim, possible allied race?

Since the writers goal seems to be to blame everything wrong with the Forsaken on Sylvanas and ‘redeem’ them by forcing Calia on them, it’s possible that they think there needs to be a new borderline Adversarial player race.

I know they said they would never do a neutral race again, but if Nathrezim were playabale, it would make sense if they swore allegiance to both the Horde and Alliance just so they could play each faction against the other.

I’m not sure being neutral would allow dreadlords to be used to their full potential. They have knowledge to help the forsaken with necromancy and the blood elves with the dark animus.

It’s kind of strange that dreadlords have very specific knowledge to help the horde of the eastern kingdoms.

That said, they still wont’ be a playable race.

Would they really be helpful though? Their entire mission statement is basically to undermine everything else in the universe for the cause of Death. Even if the Horde was to fully align themselves with their cause I can’t see them not stabbing them in the back.

I think it’s be more fun for them to be welcomed, but still distrusted, by both factions - with both attempting to ride the scorpion, so to speak, without getting stung.

He will when Yrel meets with Turalyon and they both take over Stormwind in an attempt to reform the Alliance into a zealot faction, with former Scarlet Crusaders coming out of the woodwork to join them, along with various Naaru…

“The Golden One claims a vacant throne… the Crown of the Light will bring only darkness…” -Il’gynoth

I want them to make a Siege of Stormwind raid now, in an upcoming expansion…

Do you see how detailed those body models are? All the curves and angles in the model?

Do you think Blizzard is ever going to make all the armors of the game compatible with such complex body models? I doubt it.

I want glyphs for our Metamorphosis forms as Demon Hunters… have a glyph for Havoc metamorphosis to turn us into Succubi, complete with whips, and another glyph for Vengeance meta to give us a tail…

I knew I picked the correct one, deep down…

Please make this a possible race blizzard

In my opinion, it would be more interesting to have a group of Nathrazim/Dreanai who decided that they have been too much slaves to the Nauru and turn to the shadow to break free of them.

Well, I guess Blizzard did go with a new Race/Class for their next Expac… but they went with Dracthyr instead of Nathrezim.

I think that is worth partial credit for a prognostication tally lol. A partial tally mark.

It’ll always be funny to me that Sylvanas had zero collateral holding her Betrayal Archdevil in line. She literally just let him operate on the honor system. And while I’d typically applaud that sort of open mindedness you can’t really apply that logic to actual literal demons. In much the same way I wouldn’t advise people to not assume the worst and hope this hippo just wants a hug.

With that in mind implicitly trusting the architect of all cosmic cruelty because his lackys told her an eel was depressed does adds up.

You see, she’s not evil. She’s just really, really, really, REALLY, dumb

Which makes zero sense narratively because we been told numerous times now that Sylvanas is a pretty smart individual and a great strategist.

The dev team simply did her dirty writing her the way they did in BfA/SL

Yeah we were certainly told that. But the first time Quel’Thalas faced a genuine threat she failed about as completely as you possibly can.

And there wasnt any indication she did more than just rally the undead who’d become the Forsaken. We do see some strategic skill in Silverpine at least but then by WPL her grand plan is to play some weird high stakes version of Undercover Boss with a random Belf DK of unexplained importance seemingly for her own completely pointless amusement.

She was doing just fine once the Scourge got to the magical gates and had no way around them, until you know Dar’khan betrayed his people and gave Arthas the secret to getting past them.

It amazes me how disingenuous people are when they conviently leave that fact out because it doesn’t fit their version of events

I mean. Probably want a contingency or two for that sort of thing.

Idk my takeaway from the Sylvanas book is that the Farstriders did nothing but beat up poorly equipped trolls (and even didn’t do that too well) in order to protect the good people of Quel’Thalas from ever having to experience a hardship.

To the point where mfers just dropped dead from a loud ghost. Thank God the Horde came along to put some calices on those manicured fingers. Any child with a jump scare video could’ve wandered along and finished off the rest.

Not everyone reads the comics and novels, so you have people going by what they experienced in Warcraft 3, in which there was no betrayal and Kel’Thuzad directing Arthas with claiming the key.

All you can do is educate people and hope they retain the current lore over the past.
