Why do names never free up in classic. Eventually new characters wont be able to be made. Like 90 days on retail and you lose name but here we kill it if we horde names lol.

Most of my names are other lauganges but spelled in english

  1. names are opened up in retail if the account has been inactive for 2 full expansions not 90 days (90 days is if the character is deleted).
  2. you have no right to another person’s character name, be more creative.

You can be like one of these very large number of idiots that put special characters in their names.

Sarcasm is difficult to detect in text.
Almost as hard as using your imagination to come up with a name that isn’t rude or offensive.

  1. That was changed i remember in mop you could request a name from a gm by giving them a list of names and if any were inactive for 90 days the gm would free the name up for you. With new 2 expansion policy you better hope they dont get stuck in an expansion for to long lol.

  2. Apparently the gms of that time didnt agree with you. Btw im a name hoarder so i do like the idea of if i quit i take the names with me lol.

There were strict policies regarding when GMs even back then cleared up names and it revolved around account (not character) activity. It’s why my classic characters that I have not played in many years still have their name.

Dont use unicodes if you want someone to be able to add you in game or send mail 2 u, or add you to a party
