The Most Respected Class

What class do you respect the most when you see them in dungeons/bg/open world?

Let’s talk fantasy and/or mechanically.

My turn - Priest: the only class with two healing specializations and very dualistic fantasy idea.
Any time I see a priest player, especially dwarf, I feel an instant regard towards them.

P.S. don’t hesitate to add a race combo if it makes a difference for you.

DH, of course.

Something about a shaman :blue_heart:

Mechanically, it has to be Rogue for me. When I used to PvP, running into a skilled Rogue was infuriating to the point that I could only tip my hat as I sat in a stunlock.

Fantasy, I always thought Warriors are the coolest when they’re duel wielding 2H, especially Tauren. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen angry bulls in real life, but the thought of running into one standing on two legs, covered in plate, and swinging a pair of axes would be terrifying.

Over most of wow it was pally. They tended to stay alive better than most classes. Also shaman in vanilla. Now it tends to be druid. Most druid guildies were the best.

I can’t think of a single respectable class. All classes have the potential to be cancer.

I always like seeing resto druids. Somehow they seem so nice and flowery, even if they don’t say a word.

A well played Discipline priest. That spec is just arduous.

Disc/Shadow priest. Most complicated specs in the game. Disc especially requires understanding every fight in detail and getting timings exactly right.

Personally, its between Druids or Shamans. Most of them I’ve come across have practically been VERY capable. Though mostly due to their…relatively easy playstyle when it comes to Dungeons and Raids.

Although going against the grain of the post, the players themselves tend to be a LOT more sociably acceptable, chatty, very friendly. I dunno why but that adds a lot to the experience around them for me.

Mage, they can get around better than any other class via TPs and Portals.

I respect the Spec that’s in the doghouse. The Fury Warrior in PVP, the Prot Warrior in PVE.

I have to agree, its not a class or race that would earn my respect, but the person playing it.

This is the correct answer.

Night elf warriors

People have no respect anymore, just play what you want and don’t worry about people saying it’s easy or OP or whatever. Maybe it is, and they’re dumb for playing hard specs when you can do just as well with less work.

What particular variation of respect are we talking about?

I think Death Knights command a fearful sort of respect. Their class story and lore and such are just… yeah, I don’t want to be on a Death Knight’s bad side. They’ll cut my soul.

My respect for the Demon Hunter class is such that I see them as outright killing machines. Everything about them seems designed for one thing only – killing. DH’s are their own kind of terrifying.

I have a quiet sort of respect for Shamans. They aren’t on the level of DK’s and DH’s, but the more you think about what they can do, the more intimidated you feel. I shiver to remember what Thrall did to Garrosh. The sheer power at a Shaman’s command is unnerving.

Healing classes command a surprisingly fearful sort of respect too. They can destroy their enemies indirectly without ever even having to target them. They merely keep whoever is fighting their enemy alive until their enemy succumbs. That’s quite an eerie concept to absorb.

Hmm, yeah this could drone on for quite some time. Suffice to say I have a unique respect for each class, for different reasons.

That’s what we have out of 18 replies, which is not much:
5 Druid
3 Shaman
3 Priest
2 Warrior
1 DK
1 Mage
1 Paladin
1 Rogue
1 DH (Sarcastically)

Forsaken Warlocks, followed by other Warlocks and every other class is terrible.
