The most likely time for the XP buff was always august and easily predictable

The earliest prepatch date we would get is 2 weeks after the realm consolidation (august 9th), so the joyous journeys date is easily predictable as being on August 9th because that would give it 2 weeks before prepatch. To be quite frank, this is still a rushed timetable and an insult to the audience who loved TBC. A December release of wrath would have been acceptable.

The joyous journeys xp buff isn’t even necessary, the tbc exp rates are already fine the way they are. It’s really not a big deal if its at a slightly farther date than implied, it wouldn’t even be a big deal if it wasn’t done at all. How many levels could you have gotten in this time waiting for that buff complaining on the forums? It’s just a bunch of retail andies whining because this means WotLK isn’t coming as soon as they thought, when if they had their way TBC would have been super rushed to completion in less than 6 months.

TBC is the golden age of WoW and by far the best expansion blizzard ever produced, we don’t need it tragically rushed even more than it already is. It’s good news TBC is going to be out a bit longer than the retail andies were hoping.

We can hope…

Blizzard said “have a classic summer” and then released classic 3 days before summer ended. Now that blizzard has said wrath in 2022, that means wrath on December 28th.

That would sure be a dream come true, but realistically if they plan on releasing dragonflight in December, there is no chance of this. They will pump out WotLK the day before the third quarter ends.

Lots and lots of opinions and bias in your post… which is fine, this is a forum… but don’t try to act as if any of that is objective fact.

Every thing that makes the game easier gets mired in some controversy of one kind or another.

Usually because the players cant wait for it to be easier.

There’s gotta be something too that.

I guess this does make some sort of sense since Blizzard has been releasing major raids on Thursdays as of lately

More like nearly a month. Blizzard follows same thing most of the US does, Summer ends late sept.

BLUE POST SAYS 6-8WEEKS. RIOT :crab:

Why woyld anyone want a december launch, there has been more than enough time to do everything you want. Do you really need to do 20+ resets of sunwell?

August does not compute.

August is definitely in the coming weeks if I’m not mistaken.

opinions are like… well, you know… everyone has one

backtracking to the originally quoted post, August would be coming months not coming weeks, you fail at maths.

If it comes out alongside the server consolidation, that would be seven (7) weeks. That’s still “in the coming weeks”.

By your logic, December 2026 is in the coming weeks.

Still august is multiple “months” from June (the original announcement) not weeks. Your and the Blizzard you simp for have flawed maths.

I don’t have flawed maths in the slightest. Arguing semantics understandably. I just find it amusing when people get so upset when it’s only been seven (7) days since a “few” weeks. It would be a cause for concern it we go more than 7-8 weeks without anything. But four weeks is nothing.
