I have to agree for the most part. I decided to just stick with Venthyr for aesthetic and story reasons.
It’s fun to cast in big M+ pulls after getting haste from Implosive Potential, however! But outside of that, eh.

I don’t understand how blizzard can just ignore all the feedback that people beta tested for the game. Why ask for the feedback if you’re just gonna ignore it?

Venthyr here, screw the simulators, screw the meta. im there because i always wanted to be a Count and the zone is awsome, the entire map is a city.
Soulbind Characters are the best, you have an assassin who deals with the low places, You have a crazy guy which likes tea and parties and you have damn giant gargoyle who DOESNT GRAB YOU LIKE LUGGAGE! YES IM LOOKING AT YOU KIRYANS!
Everything is hard casted, i mean EVERYTHING. door of shadows is an awsome skill, good animation, long range, you can climb levels with this skill, The problem? its 1,5 seconds cast time, cant use it to evade aoes.
Impending catastrofe looks great, cast time is tolerable, effect is fine, cooldown is fine. Maybe the dot portion is fine (120% sp over 12 seconds), but the initial damage is terrible, 23% spell power, it needs more for a 2 second cast time.

Night Fae afflock is peobably the best combo out of all of the cov abilities accross all 3 specs.
It is fun as hell to use a 50 stack drain on 4 targets
Unfortunately drain soul is way too good in dungeons for us to use ID. If only drain life sniped shards too

Currently Hybrids are able to pump out equal or even more damage than pures while also being able to pump out ridiculous amounts of off-healing/defensive utilities for allies. They have their cake and are eating it too. If they are going to be dps then we need to remove the stupid heal spam they can preform. And please for the love of god do not try to justify it by saying we have drain life.
I’m gonna justify 8t by saying blizzard openly dropped this theory of class balance years ago.
If you are dps you are dps and should ndps around dps level according to blizzard. Destro lock, sub rogue, ele shammy, or shadow priest.
You are stuck in a long long long outdated model of class balance.

What Id love to see
- Decimating Bolt proc damage 200%
- Impending Catastrophe atleast 30 - 50% damage buff on the target it cast on.
- Fleshcraft channel time reduced to 2 seconds
- Door of Shadows cast time reduced to 1 second
I think even with these changes it still wouldn’t be as strong as best pick Night Fae but will tighten the gap.

These are small easy to make changes that shouldn’t upset the balance overall too heavily.

I just think a small adjustment just needs to be made, I don’t think Nerfs should happen to covenants just bring those underperforming up.

Sure fine whatever give them all the dps a dps needs. Now knee cap their freaking healing.
Why? What purpose does this have? If a druid has gone boomie they want to do a so they should be able to dps at the same level of dps as any other dps toon. Also they are druids they should be able to heal to an extent.
Now I do believe pure dps should make up that difference in more ‘selfish’ ways. Better personal defensives or mobility or even things like healthstones that maybe are shareable. But that’s a far far cry from insisting that the company abide by some old outdated concept they dropped like a hot poker back in, what Wrath I think?

I think Lostlegion is correct in theory, but in practice… yeah. WTF WoG spam. At least my Enhance shaman goes OOM after 3 or 4 heals.
